Tom Price, secretary of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department, is leaving the Trump administration amid a furor over his taking more than two dozen costly private plane trips instead of less-expensive commercial flights.
The White House said in a statement that President Donald Trump intends to tap Don Wright to serve as acting secretary. Wright currently serves as deputy assistant secretary for Health and director of the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.
Price's announced departure Friday from the administration came a day after he said he would reimburse taxpayers for just a small fraction of the cost of his flights, and after he vowed to not use charter planes in the future.
Price — a longtime critic of wasteful federal spending and the administration's putative point man on attacking Obamacare — had taken 26 flights on charter plans since May, according to a Politico investigation.

Wonder if anyone has a bottom line of all the wasted money spent by Moochele and her/his demon spawn traveling all over God’s green earth taking vacations. And what about the times Moochele would fly to a destination just an hour after Hussein flew to the same place? Those are numbers I’d like to see.

On the positive side, at least when he left Georgia-6, he forced Demwits to spend $30 million trying to elect Ossoff. Thankfully, they failed.
It’s not about the dems. President Trump expects his Cabinet members to set an example and to get things done. It’s beyond comprehension that Price was ignoring restrictions on air travel expenses, then offered to pay only a small percentage back. Add to that, he should’ve been effective in getting Obamacare repealed and replaced. He seemed to be AWOL when a replacement still might have been saved.

Absolutely. This is the first time I’ve read anything about him since he was confirmed. Next.
Well now, I was told by a Breitbart poster that Obama would NOT have put up with that. Therefore, it did not happen. Even thought I reminded her of Pelosi’s lavish spending that does not matter. Obama’s staff would never have done that. I said well, we don’t know because the media was never interested in knowing back then.
Wasn’t Comey flying around in an FBI owned jet. IIRC he traveled to and from LA on a personal FBI jet the day he was fired.
This isn’t about Obama and past administrations. It is about Tom Price and his lavish air charters on our dime to live like a king. Pointing to other bad behavior to partially justify this bad behavior doesn’t fly. We all know what happened in the last administration. We are now dealing with this one and hopefully future ones.
