The sports world has responded to President Trumps criticisms of NFL players who protest against the national anthem. On Friday night, Trump gave a fiery speech in Huntsville, Alabama, while speaking at a rally for Republican Senate candidate Luther Strange. President Trump referred to NFL players who protest the anthem as as SOBs. He also said that it would be a winning public relations move if an NFL owner were to fire a player for such a protest.
Trump said:
See the video at the link.
By Saturday evening, the NFL Players Association, Commissioner Goodell, and the leadership of several different NFL franchises, had responded to Trump.

The owners did have a choice. They could have done something about this behavior that is killing their brand. Instead, they kicked the can down the road because they’re too scared to confront it. Wishing the problem away was the worst thing they could have done.
Tough spot? So much for lives, fortunes, and sacred honor, eh?
Note to the owners: You gutless wonders ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.
Do you have a source for that, SB?
It’s a riot to watch stockbrokers and bond traders at an NBA game high-giving each other, calling each other, “my nigga” and in general making fools of themselves.
At least they have the sense to get picked up by limos after the game which speed them back to whitopia.
This particular oddity of white culture, however, is coming to an end.
If Hernandez really had severe CTE at autopsy (age 27), the NFL as currently designed is finished.
I don’t know the medical facts of the Hernandez case, and the claim that he had severe CTE is made by a plaintiff lawyer, so YMMV - but - he did have an autopsy so the truth will be discoverable.
The way the lawsuit is drafted, his daughter is the plaintiff, and she could very well wind up owning the Patriots.

We need to help rehabilitate folks until the NFL non-patriotic infection is healed!"
The NFL infections are like an addicting combination of the worst African STD's combined with a DC Swamp brain killing meningitis with new infections every weekend and on Thursday night. That doesnt include the countless hours of re runs each week before and after each game which re infects the NFL victims even on non game days.

How to use Sling TV Blue to slice the $s from ESPN and Disney.
When anyone cuts their cable, Sling is a reasonable alternative for streaming via the internet.
We had both the Sling Orange and Sling Blue. One of our relatives, who hates ESPN/NFL gave us a great heads up.
Sling Blue doesn't carry any ESPN or Disney channels.
We didn't watch ESPN or Disney, however, they were getting money from us by our subscribing to Sling Orange each month when we paid our Sling bill. The same happens with your standard cable contract. ESPN and Disney get paid each month from your subscription if you watch them or not.
I got that info from my our relative. A few minutes later I had cancelled Sling Orange. So ESPN and Disney get zero money from my Sling Blue monthly subscription payment.
What Is Sling Blue?:(from their site)
Sling Blue costs $25 per month and gives you access to 43 live channels. However,
Blue does not include every Orange channel by default; theres no Disney and no ESPN, for starters.
He’s following the script. Sad.
I miss the Broncos’ Orange Crush days. I no longer watch any NFL games, not even the play offs.
Go Sooners!
I know the feeling.
YUUUGE Pats fan. But, Robert Kraft also joined the list of wimped-out owners:

I thought he was better, and stronger, than that.
No more Pats/NFL for me.
This is a very different situation entirely. As I pointed out yesterday, this is the equivalent of the President of the United States standing up in public and telling Americans that McDonalds hamburgers taste like sh!t ... and they should go somewhere else for their fast food. I don't think this has ever happened before -- at least not in my lifetime.
Giants and 49ers: literally losers.
Green Bay and Dolphins: mediocre.
none of the elite, winning teams are taking the bait. I guess the losers figure they have nothing more to lose, while the winners want to keep winning.
“I dont think I could even imagine such a thing as recently as a few years ago.”
yeah, ain’t it grand! The Prez castigating a bunch of overpaid entertainers publicly disrespecting our national heritage during business hours!
“Let them get some other taxpayers to pay for their stadiums.”
yeah, and while they’re at it, they should ask Congress to revoke their special anti-trust exemption, you know, since they’re so anti-U.S.
“Many NFL owners are totally screwed up people.”
Jed York comes to mind, right?
Why would anyone own stock in an NFL team right now? You should sell it all.
I'll bet if one could read Kapernick's emails or listen to his conversations with various contacts, you will find evidence of a George Soros organization involved with his initial acts of kneeling. The progressive DemonRats WOULD LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN TO DESTROY AMERICA'S FAVORITE 'PAST TIMES'. KAPERNICK IS A LEFTIST PUPPET!
THE NFL OWNERS ARE HELD HOSTAGE BY THEIR BLACK SUBJECTS, cowering in fear of being called 'racist'. This same phenomena kept Obama from being held accountable to the law, AND STILL DOES.
Trump is hostage to NO ONE. Amen for Trump. Watch the boycott grow.
Afraid to honor our country and those that died so that they might be free to participate in football.
Yes, shocking! Obama would have never done such a thing to the coal industry or every policeman in the United States, or the oil and gas industry or gun manufacturers or so many others. Actually, though, much of that president's most destructive work was done behind the scenes.
