During President Donald Trumps rally to show support for RINO Mitch McConnell stooge, lifelong DC lobbyist and swamp creature Luther Strange, who the president endorsed, even though many of his supporters like Sebastian Gorka, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, and many others endorsed legendary Ten Commandments Judge Roy Moore, the president admitted that he may have made a mistake with the endorsement.
I might have made a mistake, President Trump told the Alabama crowd before the special election on September 26 to fill the seat vacated when former Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions became attorney general. Ill be honest, I might have made a mistake, he said for emphasis.

Trump endorsed the sitting Senator Luther Strange and there is a certain logic to his having done so despite all the bizarre squawking outrage. Should Moore defeat that sitting Senator in the special election there is no doubt in my mind that Trump will endorse him, too.
Stupid tempest in a teapot with the usual pot-stirrers being responsible. As if they’ve ever supported Trump on anything, let alone this election in Alabama.

YES!!!!!!!!!
I knew his endorsement was just perfunctory
This is a MAJOR F.U. to Mitch and Strange is probably pulling his hair out right now.
This is worse than if he just stayed out of it

If I lived in Alabama I'd be supporting Moore, but I also recognize that he could present some problems in the U.S. Senate that Strange is not likely to have. Strange is the perfect candidate for the malodorous Senate Chamber. If elected, he'll ooze his way comfortably beside his soulmate, the loathsome Mitch McConnell.

Strange has the distinction -- or maybe it's not such a distinction because he's one of many -- of sitting in the U.S. Senate for nine months this year and supporting every consequential piece of legislation that helps push President Trump's agenda forward.
I guess that's just not good enough for some people who are always going to be malcontents.

List them, please. I did an earnest Google search of the term "Washington DC GOP senate accomplishments 2017" and the only relevant article I found was this one:
Republicans Reluctantly Acknowledge a Failure of Governing

The article you cited actually makes my point. How many of the legislative failures listed in that article were caused (in part) by Luther Strange voting against a bill?

Fascinating.
Doesn’t sound like a retraction of the endorsement though.

You ever wonder how the Swamp works? You don't actually think the majority of the Senate members vote their consciences, do you? Oh, please, don't tell me you think they actually vote based on the interests of their constituents - you can't be THAT naive!

Well if Strange had any chance at all before the rally he doesn’t have one now. Enjoy the view under the bus, Big Luther.

I know exactly how it works. What makes you think President Trump's agenda is going to fare any better with Roy Moore in office?
P.S. -- I've said before that I'd be voting for Moore if I lived in Alabama.

Yes...I don’t think he’s going to win either from the sounds I’m hearing from the people of his state.....unless they have a way to get to Moore as they’ve seem to have done before...he’ll be the winner .

Wonder what's causing that, hmmm?
Try to keep up.

If you knew how it works, then you wouldn't make a silly statement like "How many of the legislative failures listed in that article were caused (in part) by Luther Strange voting against a bill?"
Strange voted against those bills because The Swamp told him to. Strange is a loyal little UniParty apparatchik. It was to prevent Trump from having legislative successes. McConnell and The Swamp want him back (of course, they'd be just as happy if the DemocRAT won). They fear Moore and his ilk because they know Moore will side with Trump. Strange will side with McConnell and The Swamp.

Maybe the price for all that support from stra beg of trump was and is an endorsement. So trump might just be perfunctorily honoring an earlier commitment.
If trump did not attack Moore then and. Ice versa then it seems possible if not likely that trump would be fine with Moore.
