The DACA issue compels us to confront our time’s either-or: patriotism or multiculturalism? We can’t have it both ways; which shall it be? Though it would have been unthinkable at any other period in history, most of the intellectual class chooses multiculturalism. Their preference, that is to say, is not for the interests of their own country, but for those of non-Americans. This is bizarre, for while patriotism, like so much else in human affairs, is a mixed thing—often crossing over into a crass and dangerous nationalism, for example—it does refer to actual practices and customs, embodied values whereby people define themselves and, in some cases anyway, live the good life as they pursue common ends. As a concept, patriotism has a real world significance and application. It is not so with multiculturalism, because this no longer denotes the activity of disparate peoples basically becoming less so as, through assimilation—that is, the adaptation of a particular, rather bourgeois way of life—they become a coherent culture.

Multiculturalism's poison pill gets packaged with a "compassion and equality" sugar coat by the Left, whereas so-called conservatives (usually those of the neoconservative persuasion and fellow country-club Republicans) sugarcoat it with talk about "work Americans won't do." In the end, it's the same poison.
Both parties have been carrying out a 30 year bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of laws and borders with the goal of changing the demographic makeup of this country.

The only difference is for Democrats, displacing working and middle class white Americans is an end goal in itself, whereas for Republicans, this is just something that has to be done to keep down the cost of labor (with the understanding, of course, that the elites will never be the ones to be displaced by illegals or by H1B visa recipients).

You and I may both know that Bill Kristol has more in common with the multicultural Left than with any aspect of conservative thought, but the mass media present him and others like him as some kind of spokesmen for “conservatism.” As far as much of the public is concerned, Bill Kristol and Jeb Bush are the conservative alternatives to Rachel Maddow and Hillary Clinton, when in fact they are one and the same.
I suppose that’s just the PC Left’s obsession with gender-neutral pronouns taken to its logical conclusion.
Or is the reason something deeper, more profound, touching on a topic that is almost never discussed among non-scientists? I'm speaking about the 3 horsemen: resource depletion, environmental degradation and population overshoot.
In an environment of resource scarcity, it necessarily results that there will be conflict over diminishing returns. The winners will be those who evolved certain traits & attributes that resulted in the greatest domination during periods of surplus. I'm speaking of course about those that exhibit self reliance, individual initiative, impulse control, deferred gratification, the whole gamut of what has typically been characterized as attributes of successful "winners".
But now we have a coordinated propaganda onslaught that diminishes these type of accomplishments, attempts to erase histories of achievement, and instead elevates and celebrates the desultory, indolent and violent. Why?
Why is because with a globe armed with nukes, any conflict could easily escalate beyond the confines of the local regional area. What does it gain mankind that a certain race of achievers are willing to put the entire global population at risk in order to continue to satisfy their own (selfish) needs?
Wouldn't it be preferable, from an animal husbandry perspective, to manage the entire global herd as one homogeneous mass that has controlled birthrates, consumption and pollution? But, as we can see, it's always difficult to change the expectations of those who have grow to assume benefits as a birthright, in essence, an entitlement. In many ways, this fits exactly Darwin's term of 'fit'. It doesn't mean best or strongest, but rather simply the best (current) fit given the environment constraints. Perhaps those who were best fit during periods of surplus are now considered unfit, because of their voracious energy requirements and mental expectations.
So, rather than try and convince people of impending doom (watch the responses from the xians on FR), it's simply easier to remove them from the discussion aka gene pool. Substituting people with an average IQ in the range of 85 (blacks) to 92 (hispanics & muzzies) is a lot easier than trying to persuade your average IQ 100 American that he/she has to take a seat for the rest of the world. Even better, if you import people with no previous history or tradition of self-government, then you have a built in audience ready for centralized, authoritarian control.
That's my explanation. I don't bother debating "if" population replacement is occurring or if it's the goal of the elites. It's self evident to anyone with even the slightest clue. Rather, I think the debate is going to move to the question of "why"?

For someone who never did anything other than run his mouth his entire life, Kristol is sure quick to call others "decadent, lazy, and spoiled." If he really wants to see all of the above, he ought to look in a mirror.

I’ve yet to meet a self-identified multiculturalist who has the faintest clue about his or her own culture except to be able to tick off a list of shallow accusations of evil-doing. It’s a fundamentally lazy position. Sure, all cultures are equal in the eyes of someone who is equally ignorant of all of them.
While there are certainly Ted Bundy like characters running around, do those motivated purely through demonic evil & hatred really reach positions of power? Even Hitler, Stalin & Mao believed they had superior moral obligations; they really believed in their respective causes. That millions of people had to suffer & die was simply a by-product, an unfortunate, but necessary cost to achieve the desired ends. They certainly didn't think they were personally evil.
As to power, wealth and control, how much more do they want? How much more could they achieve over what they already possess? All media, all finance, and almost all governments. They are already above the law, acting with impunity free from fear, shame or guilt.
That's why I think they really hold some kind of internal moral justification - at least in their heads. It's what the proposed global warming carbon offset programs were all about - dramatically reducing the quality of life for everyone across the board by drastically cutting energy consumption. It's what the destruction of white xians is all about - eliminate those most capable of maintaining a superior position.
There's also the question of nukes. The world simply cannot afford an aggressive, superior force willing to engage in conflict & conquest (ie the history of the West) to garner the lion's share of the earth's diminishing, easily accessible natural resources.
As you can see, I can throw out all kinds of questions as to why. People who understand what is occurring don't need to describe, label or discuss - it's as obvious as the sun rising in the east. What we need to do is collectively figure out the driving motivating factor(s).
Your typical millennial college student’s concept of American history is just a narrative of oppression of non-whites by whites. The most important thing that happened in North America in the late 18th Century wasn’t the American Revolution, it was the transport of slaves and wars against “peaceful” Indians. The irony is that if they knew anything about the African or American Indian cultures that they claim to love and admire so much, they’d realize that most of them weren’t so peaceful and not at all opposed to slavery when they had the upper hand.
