I don't think it is a matter of surviving and prospering.
It is a fear of even being labeled. Being called names. Of people even remotely thinking they might not be "down with the struggle".
It is a disturbing form of craven and cowardly behavior that I find even more repellent. If a liberal believes it and puts all their money behind it, well they are stupid and wrong, but it doesn't bother me the same way as the ones who just want to make sure all the tickets get punched to avoid criticism.
Geez, just grow a spine if you have to, but cowardly caving is bad.
Here's wishing them all the best for attaining their goal !
It all started back in late 90’s when the Fed sued MS with its nonsense browser lawsuit.
MS found out if they started donating $$$ to RATS, the lawsuits would vanish.
It then moved to Intel (and Intel lurched left)
Intel asked the Fed for help during the .com crash...Bush decided to bomb Iraq instead.
Now they are targeting Google and Apple for the same reason
Liberalism is a religion. Liberalism allows its adherents to deny their Creator and cover their resulting intrinsic deficit by laboring to make themselves feel good. Liberals do this through deceiving themselves into believing they are societal guardians defying the ugly right-wing masses by holding up the virtues of diversity, tolerance, compassion, and love for all.
They are driven by emotion and have had their ability to reason short circuited. They are willing to financially go down with the ship because this makes them even more virtuous and more self righteous through these acts of bravery.
This is exactly why the newspapers committed suicide. Sure the Internet contributed to their demise, but I am certain many people, myself included, would still be buying newspapers today were it not for them being infected by overt leftist proselytizing.
ESPN, Disney, MGM and others hold tightly to their pagan religion because without it they would be forced to see their own spiritual vacuousness.
They are deconstructing what remains of America. This is their mission. Some believe that when enough evil exists the Messiah will appear.
Excellent points. And that’s why they always blame everything but politics for their declining ratings.
If you look across at the brands and their affected CEOs...most are all people who graduated in the mid-to-late 1980s (MBA, etc). They lived through the Clinton-era of the 1990s and went to dinners/partys where political hype was accepted and part of the crowd.
In their mind, it’s ok to talk politics in your work. They were never told to halt the practice and have simply accepted it as the norm.
At some point, boards will meet and discuss declining customers/users. Some CEOs will be swapped out and find getting the brand back to normal won’t be simple.
I think in the case of the NFL...their brand probably won’t be coming back. They will suffer through three or four years of social cause business, and then the concussion medical issues will downsize the rest of their future.
Robert Conquest’s Second Law of Politics: Any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing.
Great commentary by Wayne Allyn Root. Thanks for posting
You just laid out the very definition of a fascist economic system...the system practiced religiously by Democrats. They’ve made great inroads into making it the American system. Seig Heil.
I think that it’s due to all of the Liberal/Democrat/Commie indoctrination their CEOs and Staff/Employees have hd.
” They are run by Humanist Progressives. They believe that they can force humans to become better through social coercion and government regulation”
BINGO....
The boardrooms of these companies are stuffed with people who want to be SEEN as progressive (not they really are).
When some liberal moron stands up at the board meeting and makes some nutty declaration about transgender, muzzles, etc., they MUST be seen to be to be clapping louder in support than anyone else, or they could lose that cushy job, get black-listed as a hater or a racist!, and see their career destroyed.
NO ONE dares to stand up and say “Wait, this has nothing to do with our business.” Because they have already seen the examples of others being pilloried and fired for it.
Murren’s connections to Harry Reid are even more troubling. Reid had been lawyer to Nish Kirkorian, Kirk’s punch drunk brother in the old days. So MGM always supported Reid, was his biggest donor. Harry paid MGM back with $billion loan to bail out City Center. I am told they bought him off at the end wih $5 million.
All extremely corrupt.
Leftisim is a power cult.
These people were never friends of the common man, their only lust is for power which is much more valuable to them than money and they feel it slipping thru their hands so they will spend all of their money to regain the power they perceive to have lost.
They will become more and more contradictory and irrational as the mask slips to reveal their true identity. Just like a compulsive liar finally caught in their own tangled web of deceit they will violently thrash and flail with no perceptible purpose until they have exhausted their every strength.
We need to keep to the just path and stand clear to avoid further injury.
It would be hard for google to move further left than it already is.

“It’s happening all over America. Liberal CEOs appear to be purposely committing brand suicide. Their cardinal sin is arrogance and ignorance. Remarkably, they don’t even understand their own customers base.
ESPN and Vegas casino giant MGM Resorts International should serve as Exhibit A.
Vegas and ESPN have much in common. ESPN has committed suicide with its obsession with liberal, progressive, politically correct beliefs.”
Meanwhile, we can help these arrogant bastards commit financial suicide by boycotting their left wing companies that hate us 24/7!
The NFL/ESPN is going down the same suicidal path that many liberal universities are with the criminal and insane inmates running them. NFL/ESPN/Disney/? are driving up the monthly costs of many cable tv systems.
The increased monthly costs of Comcast out here on the left coast is ramping up the cable cutting. Part of those increases in cost is probably due to NFL/ESPN/Disney jacking up their monthly fees to the cable companies. How much of those price increases are due to low attendance at pro games.
So the NFL jacks up its fees to ESPN/Disney to make for the lack fans at their games.
So far this week, I have had 4 friends/neighbors look at our simple cable cutting system. They are writing down what gear they need to buy or in some cases how to just use what they have with smart tvs and being Prime customers.
I suggest that they use Sling Blue as a streaming system beside Amazon Prime to take away any monthly fees to the NFL/ESPN/Disney thugs.
Comcast and AT&T has jacked their prices up with long time customers to over $200/month with many of us at $250/monthly costs. Again, how much of those monthly increases are due to the super rich pro team owners increasing their tv fees to make up for less fans at their worthless BLM bs?
What Is Sling Blue?:(from their site)
Sling Blue costs $25 per month and gives you access to 43 live channels. However, Sling Blue does not include every Orange channel by default; theres no Disney and no ESPN, for starters.
I thought that was O'Sullivan's First Law.
It is full frontal assault
They see it as a war. Some casualties are inevitable. So they know they’re going to lose some viewers and revenue. But if they win the war, there will a massive gain at the end to make it all worth while.
Leftists, like the President of ESPN, are counting on the Big Win-the day when companies like Google, Facebook and Disney are actually running the entire country through their proxies in D.C.
They may be right. Sure looks like they’re winning from where I’m sitting anyway.
