Washington (CNN)US investigators wiretapped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort under secret court orders before and after the election, sources tell CNN, an extraordinary step involving a high-ranking campaign official now at the center of the Russia meddling probe.
The government snooping continued into early this year, including a period when Manafort was known to talk to President Donald Trump.
Some of the intelligence collected includes communications that sparked concerns among investigators that Manafort had encouraged the Russians to help with the campaign, according to three sources familiar with the investigation. Two of these sources, however, cautioned that the evidence is not conclusive.

They renewed it after he joined the campaign. Remember all those months when Hillary had a counter for every Trump move? That all changed when Manafort left. He was effectively a mole for Hillary’s campaign thanks to the spying. This is huge.

Any liberal who wants to pretend that wiretapping your political opponent is “no big deal”, ask them to imagine if Trump is still president in 2020 and he approves wiretapping the Democrat nominee and that candidate’s staff for some bogus national security reason, ask them how they’d feel about that.
If the roles were reversed, I guarantee the libs would be plenty pissed off about it. They should be equally pissed that Obama did it to Trump (but of course they won’t be because they are the “ends justifies the means” party).

Once the Republican Governor of Hawaii in 2008, Linda Lingle vouched for his birth there, even the most conservative members of Congress backed off from conducting an investigation. Congress never held a hearing on Obama’s citizenship.
