Of course it couldn’t be that those Congress-critters are so frustrated by leadership that they realize it’s pointless to be there.

Funny, I don’t see any talk of Democrats resigning. Shouldn’t they be the most despondent if it’s Trump’s policies causing this? After all, the Republicans are the majority in both houses.
And yet Republicans are the ones who can’t take it anymore?
This just doesn’t pass the sniff test.

“And members who havent seen real competition for years face tough races due to Trumps deep unpopularity.”
No, they face tough races due to them not doing their jobs. They know what we want them to do, they just will not take any action to get the job done. So we will remove them and see if the new person can do the job.

there is absolutely no reason for a GOP congressCritter to remain there as long as Ryan and McConnell manage to still hang on ...selling out everything we elected them to pass for us

Trump is not responsible for the Do-Nothing congress.
That is Ryan and McConnells failed leadership.

House Republican leaders are scrambling to get something done legislatively to convince other frustrated members not to toss in the towel in a tough political environment. It's not a tough political environment.
Pass tax reform, repeal Obamacare and don't pass DACA.
Easy Peasy.
To: cotton1706
a tough political environment.
My gawd. Your side controls the whole government and it’s too tough a political climate for you? Look at what the Democrats did under Obama, and how they are able to shut the majority GOP down while the Dems are in the minority.
Go home, snowflakes, go home.
