Theres no way to stop Kim Jong Uns regime and its missile and nuclear program, a North Korea expert told Fox News on Thursday, the warning coming amid Pyongyang's continued threats to sink Japan and blast the U.S. into ashes and darkness.
Leading Seoul-based North Korea expert Andrei Lankov told Fox News that Kim Jong Un is accelerating his missile and nuclear program much faster than anybody expected.
They want to get the point of having a sufficient number of intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of destroying a sufficient number of American cities, Lankov said.
The expert expressed doubt about reining in North Koreas trajectory in achieving its military goal, adding the use of any military force would send the peninsula into war. He said sanctions and regional diplomacy wouldnt work, either.
I dont think, unfortunately, there is no way to stop them, Lankov said. No way
A use of military force, but that would result in a second Korean war. That would be an absolute disaster.

I know a way.......................
Yep, there is a way
Give me the launch codes and a beer.
Then this expert can hold it while I show him.
yeah, me too.
Ooohh yes there is.
I seem to recall the Japanese military saying those sorts of things — right up until August 6th, 1945!
Alas, so shall it be with the fat kid in NOKO. If HE keeps it up, NOKO will be NOMO!
Korean WarII may be a disaster, but it would prevent a catastrophe.
I guess I’m just a crazy kind of guy, thinking a person who on penalty of death had to support the regime, might not be the most honest source of information.
Dear Andrei: Here’s how you eliminate fat boi...
You drop a company of Marines (Recon) into N. Korea making a lot of noise near Pyongyang. At the same time you covertly infiltrate a Marine sniper team in the opposite quadrant.
Fat boi comes out of the bunker to watch the “slaughter.”
Fat boi assumes room temperature.
Hey, not a bad plot for a short story...
An even bigger disaster would be not stopping Fat Leader.
“A use of military force, but that would result in a second Korean war. That would be an absolute disaster.”
1940’s: “A use of military force to stop Germany, but that would result in a second Great war. That would be an absolute disaster.
Yeah, they said there was no way to stop the Soviet Union in the 80’s....
“Yeah, they said there was no way to stop the Soviet Union in the 80s....”
Little Kim can be stopped, no doubt about that. The problem is with the first 60 seconds of the conflict. During those 60 seconds the 10,000 artillery pieces zeroed in on Seoul each could get off five or six rounds. The city of Seoul would basically be leveled.
Regardless of many comments to this effect, North Korea cannot fire 60000 artillery rounds in 60 Seconds. Next, we cannot take out all of North Korea’s artillery in 60 Seconds. Finally, the city of Seoul would not in fact be leveled although there would be significant damage.
I suspect the 60 years we have spent on the DMZ have yielded a solution to Kim’s artillery.
Not very worried about that aspect.
Two years ago, there was no way to stop Jeb!
One year ago, there was no way to stop Hillary.
Today there is no way to stop the Fat Midget.
Somehow, I suspect the third problem has the same solution as the first two.
Let South Korea & Japan go nuclear and develop missile defense technology. Tell China you have had X number of months to fix “the problem”. You didn’t this is the result.
Oh yeah and that MFN on trade status you like, that’s gone too.
Sooner was ALWAYS a better option than later.
Israel showed the way, but the U.S. never had the gonads.
