According to the complaint she told officers “it’s all my fault” and that she didn’t want her brother to get in trouble.
She asked police to book her, telling detectives:
“So, I don’t care, he raped my daughter ... she told me everything.”
Her hands also tested positive for gunshot residue, according to the complaint.
Serbu’s daughter reportedly told her mother over Memorial Day weekend in 2016 that Sierra sexually assaulted her on two separate occasions several years prior — when she was just six years old.
Police said Serbu often talked to friends and other witnesses about wanting to kill the 18-year-old.
A friend of Serbu’s urged her to bring it to the police instead of taking things into her own hands, but it appears the mother had been planning the attack for months.
She allegedly told her husband in May that she was “going to do something” and that he would have to raise her children alone, according to the Naples Daily News.
Serbu was served an arrest warrant Aug. 25 for second-degree murder.

Poor mom, really looking out for her daughter. Too bad she didn't just go to the police first. Unless she felt they wouldn't have done anything to protect her daughter from this punk who reportedly had been threatening to kill her.

Of what? No crime.
Would YOU trust the police to protect you from a thug like that?
What are they going to do? Issue an order of protection?

As a mother, I can understand her pain and frustration.
No child should ever have to go through that and I'd consider it a safe bet that she's not the only one he's ever molested or raped.
No doubt she saved other girls the horror.

... This appears to be a “Crime of Passion” .... The Courts will more than likely respond accordingly.

It’s not as if the police were going to do anything.
Providing the facts of the accusations were true, I can see her doing this.
I am a bit nervous about the stories kids tell after several years. I want to make it clear, this not through any fault of their own at times.
I’ll never forget the McMartin case out here in California. They thought they had a problem and interviewed kids. The stories those kids came up with were amazing.
The McMartins were literally destroyed over it. From coast to cost the McMartins were vilified ruthlessly. Hey, it looked as if they were guilty as sin, the way things were presented.
And then the kid’s stories began to fall apart. Some of them were so fanciful that law enforcement should have known early on they had major problems on their hands, but they forged ahead with the case.
In the end, they found that the interviewers had used some terrible techniques that lead to incredibly salacious and totally baseless charges.
What a mess.
I lean toward supporting this mom’s actions, but we’re talking some very serious stakes here.
Very sorry, but I mistakenly thought the rapist was currently threatening the young daughter. Yet still, he got what he clearly deserved. I just feel very bad for the mother who now may spend many years in jail and away from her daughter. And her daughter really needs her as she grows and matures given the horrible experiences she had as a 6-year-old at the hands of that cowardly POS child rapist.
I would love to be called for jury duty in this case.
Killing the guy for a seven old crime based only on the word of a 13 or 14 year old girl ?
I certainly don’t blame her, but no way is she getting away with it...
Plus she is basically abandoned her daughter by going to prison if convicted...which is likely.
This is a tough one. It will surely be hyped by the race pimps as the latest Trayvon, courtesy of the new racist administration. If mom walks, cities will again ignite. Democrats across America will be high-fiving in celebration.
