The conservative Judicial Crisis Network said Wednesday it’s running an ad in Minnesota targeting Democratic Sen. Al Franken for refusing to back one of President Trump’s federal court judges, telling the senator to “stop being petty” and “grow up.”
Mr. Franken announced last week he won’t return his “blue slip” for Minnesota Supreme Court Justice David Stras, Mr. Trump’s nominee for the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Under Senate tradition, the chamber won’t proceed on a judicial nominee unless both home-state senators return their blue slips, signifying acquiescence in the pick.
“Justice David Stras earned more votes and a higher percentage of the vote statewide than Senator Al Franken did,” said Carrie Severino, chief counsel for the Judicial Crisis Network, who successfully backed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation earlier this year.

Whatever the blue slip is could be eliminated in 10 minutes by McConnell.
Al Franken is damned joke and anyone that voted for the fool is a fool.

The so-called Republican “led” Senate Judiciary Committee should tell Franken and the other ‘RATS eff you and proceed with consideration of Trump’s nominees. I blame the RINOs if they don’t.
Wrong target. Blue slips are just a “tradition”, McConnell could simply ignore it and proceed with the nominations, but he’s participating in blocking Trump’s nominees.
Things move slowly in the senate.

Sen. Grassley can go ahead with his nomination, Stras is an appeals court nominee, hopefully he will.

Here’s the problem wit so called ‘Blue slips”. Dems won’t accept any appointment by trump. So all judicial appointments by trump will be from red states.
Franken’s career bit in and out of congress has been centered on his childish stupidity.
Nobody can squat like Al Franken.
Franken was a terrible comedian and he’s a worse senator.
The ad is running in the wrong place: it should be run against Mitch McConnell, in Kentucky, until he schedules a vote and ignores this ridiculous “courtesy” to a “Senator” who was elected through proven voter fraud.
That’s just it, R Senators think it is their duty to give the President whoever he wants.
