The Department of Justice should consider prosecuting James Comey for his “improper” actions while serving as FBI director, the White House said Tuesday.

Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, argued during the daily press briefing that Comey’s actions as FBI director “were improper and likely could have been illegal.”

Powered By Asked if President Trump wants the Department of Justice to prosecute Comey, Sanders said that’s “something they should certainly look at.”

Sanders said the former FBI director “politicized an investigation by signaling he would exonerate Hillary Clinton before he ever interviewed her or other key witnesses.”

That’s in reference to new allegations Comey drafted an “exoneration statement” for Clinton weeks before interviewing her during the investigation into her email server.

Sanders also said Comey, “by his own admission, leaked privileged government information.”

That’s in apparent reference to Comey’s acknowledgement during a June congressional hearing that he authorized the leaking of a memo about his conversations with the president to the New York Times.

“I think if there’s ever a moment where we feel someone’s broken the law, particularly if they’re the head of the FBI, then I think that’s something [that] certainly should be looked at,” she said.

Forget it. Comey, Hillary, Loretta, and the rest of the lawless Democrats can get away with anything because weenie Republicans don’t want to make waves. If the shoe was on the other foot and they were Republicans they’d all be in prison.

At this point the only recourse is a Trump led provisional military government.

Anything less and this has all been a GIANT waste of time.

The Department of Justice just gave Lois Lerner a pass for targeting conservative groups as IRS commissioner, but thought it was worth appointing a special investigator to go after Trump a few months into his presidency. Jeff Sessions has been a colossal disappointment so far, and I don't expect him to stop disappointing.

My thoughts precisely!

Thanks.

The reason I was wondering is I remember that at Ruby Ridge, two FBI supervisors broke the law and FBI regulations. The FBI publicly announced that both had been given reprimands which would be put in their personnel files.

Having worked for Civil Service for many years, I assumed both of their careers were over. Most people when given a reprimand, simply resign as that is a career killer.

To my surprise, I saw a few weeks later that both had been given a promotion. Then it was clear that the fix was in. The reprimands were just for public consumption.

The FBI director had to have been part or the fix. To make it even worse, I don’t recall any Senator or Rep. raising any concern over it at all. After all, the ones murdered by the government were White supremacists and therefore able to be murdered at the will of the government.

“The Department of Justice just gave Lois Lerner a pass for targeting conservative groups as IRS commissioner,”

Lerner wasn’t the commissioner. John Koskinen is and he’s an Obola holdover, which surprised me since he’s such and obvious partisan and POS.

AG Sessions early on inexplicably recused himself from the Russia BS. Since then, he has recused himself from his job altogether. I actually wonder how much the President and AG Sessions talk to each-other.

Wikipedia says July 19, but in any event he certainly was fired for some BS charges that pale compared to Comey’s misbehavior. Interesting that Bill Clinton set the precedent of firing the FBI Director in this manner.

Sessions getting on stage less than a month after the inauguration and throwing Trump under the bus was it for me.

He’s a loser and he needs to go.

Whenever I look at Sessions I can’t help that the term “namby pamby” comes to mind every time.

Lerner wasn’t the commissioner.

You're right, my mistake. Lerner was the Director Exempt Organizations and oversaw the IRS department which targeted Tea Party groups for audits of their exemption applications. Pure political corruption.

Yes, and Hillary. Barack and Rice, too. Oh yeah, Holder and Fast and Furious along with Barack.

And then there’s DWS....

Gosh a lot of typing to do for the list. I’m running out the door for a bit.

Someone should tell the White House that they are fully in charge of the DOJ. It appears they don’t know that yet.

Does anyone doubt that if Bill or Obama wanted charges brought or dropped on anyone, that it wouldn't of happened?

The only way Comey,Lynch,Clinton,Steel,IRS will be investigated is with a new AG. This one does not have the backbone to do it. He will never appoint a SC.He could do this with a bulldog US attorney and without a SC and Sessions will never even do that.

BTW, we have had our belly full of special prosecutors like Mueller who just keeps on spending needless precious $$$$ of American Taxpayer money!

The Attorney General needs to get after these folks and James Comey has dirty hands and James Comey politicized the FBI.

AG Sessions will go after Hillary, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch hopefully quickly.

This is what happens when you have an America Hating POTUS like Obama and corrupt folks all thru the government in D.C.

Who would have ever thought that we would be this corrupt in our government officials!

Several others have column J noted.
