After simmering on social media and conservative news sites for a weekend, images of University of Nebraska-Lincoln employees protesting a student recruiting for Turning Point USA drew to a full boil by the following Monday.
The email inboxes of NU's top administrators began filling with indignation and disgust Aug. 28, messages aimed at a handful of university employees who protested the conservative student organization.
Thursday, UNL said it had reassigned Courtney Lawton, a graduate teaching assistant in the English department, to nonteaching duties following the school's internal investigation and external reaction to the event.
Video and photographs taken by student Kaitlyn Mullen on Aug. 25, showcasing what the sophomore said depicted harassment and intimidation by Lawton and others, were shared thousands of times on social media accounts.
In one of the videos, Lawton can be seen referring to Mullen as a neo-fascist advocating for the destruction of public schools and universities. An accompanying photo shows Lawton extending her middle finger while holding a sign that reads Just say NO! to Neo-Fascism.

After THIS profanity-laced rant against cops, professor gets personal invite to meet Obama
and other links.
Perhaps a simple solution to the SJW problem would be a good early 1900 era High School competency test as a requirement to be at an academic institution.
‘Twould filter not only the SJWs, but the vast majority of their so-called “professors”.
“Thursday, UNL said it had reassigned Courtney Lawton, a graduate teaching assistant in the English department, to nonteaching duties following the school’s internal investigation and external reaction to the event. “
It might not be stated plainly. But she essentially gets paid leave. She likely still gets her stipend but no longer has to teach. So, basically a promotion.
How does a “neo-fascist” differ from an ordinary, garden variety fascist?
Doesn’t matter the teaching assistant has a better than 90% chance of not being able to articulate a coherent historically accurate definition of fascism even if her life depended on it.

As if proper definitions matters to Lefties, LOL... but I THINK that their current definition is that "Neo-Fascist" means anyone who organizes in support of limited government and lower taxes, because those oppresses minorities and women... or something.
It should be noted, and I think that NebrFAL can back this up, that while the student body and faculty at UNL tend to be extremely Liberal, the surrounding areas, and the always sold-out football games, tend to be rather conservative, and publicly so. The pro-flag and pro-family and pro-faith acts at UNL football games are not rare.
This shows the remarkable power video recording of SJWs has when those recordings are broadcast far and wide. It’s a wonderful, non-violent, totally legal response to their wannabe totalitarianism and it gets results.
Can devote more time to being a SJW.
The solution is no longer funding their professors to train more social justice warriors.
Typical progressive tolerance.
how cute! she has a minder with her, to ensure that she appropriately displays her white guilt
Its not even “basically” a promotion. She’s a grad student. She just won’t have to teach, but there are many research or administrative duties that she can do. On top of that, she’s brought what I am sure is unwanted attention to her department and school. She’ll be labeled, even by the leftist profs who will say they support her.
Trust me, grad students HATE teaching. ANY administrative duties are preferable to them rather than teaching. Been there, done that.
Punishment would have involved giving her all 8am teaching assignments. Freshman at 8am.
