Lerner cleared of tea party targeting charges
Wash Times ^ | Sep 10, 2017

The Trump Justice Department has once again cleared former IRS senior executive Lois G. Lerner of criminal liability stemming from the tea party targeting.

In a letter to top Republicans, Assistant Attorney General Stephen E. Boyd said they re-reviewed the case and concluded there isn’t enough evidence to charge Ms. Lerner, who was at the center of the targeting. Mr. Boyd said the new review included lawyers who only recently joined the department and weren’t part of the Obama administration’s earlier decision.

“After this process, the Department determined that reopening the investigation would not be appropriate based on the available evidence,” Mr. Boyd said.

He said if new information comes to light, the decision could be revisited.

Republicans on Capitol Hill called the decision “terrible.”

If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that no true justice may be found in Washington. But God sees all and He will remembers all their evil deeds.

Understand that Trump is a student of history and of wars. His heroes, among many, are Generals Patton and MacArthur. Both Generals waged asynchronous warfare. MacArthur’s approaches were more often than not, counter intuitive.

I can see Donald Trump is counter intuitive in his tactics and strategy. He’s playing to win, not to garner emotional points with supporters.
>

R-I-G-H-T. He’s now fighting a multi-pronged war WHILE paying 4-D chess. Gotcha.

>
Bannon said Trump made a big mistake by not firing all the holdovers from the Obama Administration. I tended to agree but after some thinking, Trump’s approach may be best, to show an olive branch and let enemies attack after first being offered peace. Trump never attacks first.

When I heard the news of Lerner being cleared, I was as mad if not madder than any poster on FR. But that’s an emotional reaction. Need to use brains, not emotions.
>

Olive branch? He’s been attacked since announcing. If he didn’t get the hint THEN...

Plus, no serf would get such an extension. An open-n-shut case of illegality (same as Holder, Hillary, Comey, etc.) and STILL won’t (not CAN’T, but won’t) pursue Justice....

Fact is *NO BODY* has been held to account, for ANY crime. Just how much more ‘developing’ do people need to see??

Refusing to prosecute is not the same as cleared of any wrong doing.

True, but this horse$hit insults my intelligence.

"Someone" told Lerner to act against the Tea Party.

MEMO TO PRESIDENT TRUMP: here's a clue

"Don't worry, Mr President, the Dept of the Treasury oversees the IRS, and is under your control."

=============================================

OBAMA GAVE RHAM EMANUEL TWO KEY JOBS Soon as they occupied the WH, Obama placed his COS Rahm Emanuel in control of the US Dept of the Treasury (oversees the IRS).

PAUSE TO REFLECT First-term Obama had tight control of Treasury and the IRS. Obama calculatedly placed his then-COS Rahm Emanuel in a dual role.......in the WH and at Treasury (oversees the IRS). Obama had a stranglehold on Treasury via COS Rahm Emanuel's dual role

==========================================

THE SMOKING GUN---WSJ REPORT--On Jan 20, 2009 Timothy Geithner was appointed Obama's Secy of the Treasury. But within three weeks, the Obama White House tightened its grip on Treasury. Obama put his COS, Rahm Emanuel, in charge of Treasury---Rahm Emanuel's dual role was an unusual move.

When he got to Treasury, WH COS Rahm Emanuel was so involved in the inner workings that the phrase "Rahm wants it" had become an unofficial mantra among subservient govt staffers, prostrate in obeisance, scurrying to accede to Rahm's wishes, according to Treasury government officials. Reported by WSJ / 05/31/09

More here: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124113406528875137.html

==========================================

Pres Trump needs to suggest AG Sessions make an inquiry to the US Dept of the Treasury and be sure to ask what RAHM AND Obama were doing in the US Treasury and the IRS after Obama got elected.

Treasury AND the IRS probably have a huge Rahm/Obama paper trail. One can get awfully rich awfully fast knowing the Fed's Treasury moves in advance.....and do much damage being in control of the IRS

But the Iran connection could prove to be even more interesting considering the hundreds of millions Obama secretly gave to Iran.

Trump is 8 months into his administration and you expect him to have drained the swamp by now. Got it.

It took Ronald Reagan to drain his swamp more than two years into his first term. What a loser he was, yeah?

And Ronald never even took down the USSR in his two terms, what a scammer!

So Donald’s a loser because he doesn’t conform to YOUR SCHEDULE, got it.

Go away. You add zilch to the information flow.

Geez, not this shit again! Talk about false gods...
No, SPENDING took down the USSR.

Drain? I may have missed that. I do recall Contra, Iran\Iraq, amnesty and higher spending\deficits. Does anything from the era persist TODAY? Sure those ‘lower-taxes’ don’t (America still surged, like today, in SPITE of govt).

Reading comprehension on FR has gone WAY down.

“Lock her up” (aka Hillary, or Lerner in this instance) + DOJ wiping the slate != enforcing the Law, let alone promises TO ‘drain the swamp’ (while keeping 99.9% of the swamp...Odd that, no)?

>Go away. You add zilch to the information flow.

Unlike those in your knee-pad brigade, there are those of us calling ‘em out (as we all should). I’ll chalk it up otherwise to having your mouth full.

> "No, I expected him to have, in the least, PULLED THE PLUG."

First of all, you have no sense of what the hell it means to "pull the plug". You don't have a clue other than a bunch of drivel such as incarcerate Hillary and campaign slogans that Donald Trump has not forgotten. You have nothing between the ears except hot air. If you were put in charge of war planning, you wouldn't last 5 seconds before exposing foolishness.

Donald fired Comey and saw the blowback via Mueller. That was a plug pull but now the swamp creature to take down is Mueller. How would you propose he handle that? Answer: whatever you would propose would be sheer lunacy based on your posts here.

A bit of history for you: following the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor, the top US Military brass spent the next two years fighting each other more than they ever fought the enemy. Once the internal conflict was settled, the broader war got underway.

Trump is in the midst of his internal fighting.

Now A bit of pointing out your shortcomings:

It took Ronald Reagan to drain his swamp more than two years into his first term. What a loser he was, yeah?

> "Drain? I may have missed that. I do recall Contra, Iran\Iraq, amnesty and higher spending\deficits. Does anything from the era persist TODAY? Sure those ‘lower-taxes’ don’t (America still surged, like today, in SPITE of govt)."

That right there exposes your ignorance and points to your deficiency which is that you don't know history and because of that you have no valuable sense of how history unfolds, and so you are unable to contribute anything meaningful prospectively.

Now you get one more snipe at me and then that's it, you don't post to me again else it goes to the Admin Mod.

Have at it.

It will take GENERATIONS to clean out the sewer in Washington and TERM LIMITS is the key lever.

Bannon agrees with you but estimates 15 to 20 years.

Feedback in a change loop will accelerate the trend. IOW once the sewer cleaning effort gets underway, the movement gathers steam because it becomes the ‘new thing’.

Term limits are indeed key. If you’ve been following the Article V efforts of State legislatures, here’s an amendment that is before them:

************************************************
AMENDMENT XXVIII (’Federal State Rebalancing’)

To restore the foundational structure of State Legislatures to Congress, the following amendment is proposed:

************************************************
Section 1.
Senators in Congress shall be subject to recall by their respective state legislature or by voter referendum in their respective state.

Section 2.
Term limits for Senators in Congress shall be set by vote in their respective state legislatures but in no case shall be set less than twelve years nor more than eighteen years.

Section 3:
The seventeenth article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed.

************************************************

Again, Trump needs to take to the states and call out the republicans who are not helping him... it will put the scare in them as much as anything.. the people need to be reminded who to vote for and who to toss out... it is UNBELIEVABLE what the reps have turned into... spineless before Trump, ... now spineless with an evil goal to hurt him instead of making the republican party one that would break all records with Trump as President getting things done.

The proof is in their inaction.. they don’t want to succeed for the people, they want the $$ they are piling up .. and the power they have.. it is a sick bunch in Washington!! Remove them.. Trump can dump all he knows about them in his speeches.. it makes them nervous!!! Go get em Trump!

I do believe the corruption is on a scale unimaginable to most folks. Dems and Repubs are aware of it and are likely involved. That is why investigations are started and quickly die off. They are all aware of the corruption and said nothing for too long.

They realize they are culpable as well.
