If Attorney General Jeff Sessions has his way, National Security Council staffers will undergo lie detector tests to find White House leakers. The Trump administration has been plagued by a series of leaks, ranging from transcripts of calls between President Trump and foreign leaders to reports of palace intrigue from top White House officials.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has told associates he wants to put the entire National Security Council staff through a lie detector test to root out leakers. It’s unclear whether this will ever happen, but Sessions floated the idea to multiple people, as recently as last month.
Sessions’ idea is to do a one-time, one-issue, polygraph test of everyone on the NSC staff. Interrogators would sit down with every single NSC staffer (there’s more than 100 of them), and ask them, individually, what they know about the leaks of transcripts of the president’s phone calls with foreign leaders. Sessions suspects those leaks came from within the NSC, and thinks that a polygraph test — at the very least — would scare them out of leaking again.
Sessions has told associates he likes the idea of targeting the foreign leader phone calls because there’s a small enough universe of people who would have had access to these transcripts. Also, the idea that the President of the United States can’t have private conversations with foreign leaders was a bridge too far, even for Democrats.
Ian Prior, a spokesman for Sessions, declined comment when presented with the details of this report.

OK, so why is THIS being leaked? Are not lie detector tests routinely administered to those who hold TS clearances? Why is this something that needs to be asked permission for? Why float the idea? Just f’n DO IT.

Lie detectors are easy to cheat on, and I would certainly find these leakers the old way. That means interviewing paper work, send out fake info , and lets see who releases the fake info. Move people who was appointed by obama, or who have very liberal agendas.
Actually, it is VERY hard to cheat on them. If is was easy, they wouldn’t be that effective. Polygraph is widely used in the intelligence community, it’s about time someone suggested it be used at higher levels.
Not if you believe that they work.
Why not do them all?

A lot of those Obama team surveillance devices are human.
The NSC is appalling. Bannon’s praise of them before he explained why he thought they were wrong was probably the only thing I disagreed with him on in the whole 60 Minutes piece.
very hard to cheat on, surely you jest. I know first hand, and many others who have cheated on lie detectors,. Al you need to know is how they work.

Exactly. The tests are extremely unreliable. Besides being ‘cheatable’, the ‘results’ can be fudged by the administrating party to suit their desires.
Sessions is part of it.
Its takes a bit longer when you discover a “SEWER”...and who leaks in it....
