Good evening, Pro...any signs of the heat going away.
We’ve had rain off and on and a rainbow. Maybe a sign?
We need rain to stop all the fires.
Good for you staying awake after staying up so late Fri. night. LOL
I’m catching up on Irma info tonight since I didn’t get computer time this morning or this evening til after supper. Hoping our friends who moved to FL after their house burned last year don’t have any catastrophe at their new house. The band that’s running over their area now keeps spawning tornados but so far, nothing close to them.
Good turnout at the cruise-in and the weather was awesome. Saw many old car show friends and met a few new folks. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon.
Interesting and first-hand account from FReeper Huck of his experiences in Lower Manhattan on 9-11-2001.
Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
I hope that your friends will be ok. Maybe somehow word will reach y’all that they are.
Thanks for posting this link, PRO.
I’ve read several accounts of that day over the years but missed this one somehow.
No matter how many years go by, every Sept. 11th brings back the memories of that day as if it just happened.
Yes, my memories of how I felt that day are vivid and my resolve to Never Forget are etched in my mind forever!
It WAS a great way to spend the afternoon.
We’ll be cooped up in the house the next few days as we deal with Irma’s rains and some wind. Just hope the tornado threat isn’t bad once that stuff reaches us.
We hope our friends will be ok too. I ran into her cousin at the grocery store this afternoon and he said she’s back up here but her hubby stayed in FL. Her daughter lives in Orlando and also stayed put.
It’s ugly along the east coast as well and I have friends in Cocoa Beach. I assume they left but haven’t heard from them yet. They left when Matthew went through so I’m guessing they left this time too.
I think the fear and anger we felt that day will keep our resolve solid. There’s something very wrong with anyone who could forget.
I hope your friends in Cocoa Beach had a chance to get out of Dodge!
My son lived in Port St. John when he was at Patrick AFB and I am wondering how that area is doing. His house had no damage from the 3 hurricanes that they rode out when they were there.
Of course, we were worried sick while they were playing video games. LOL!
Oh...WOOHOO!! LOL!
Knowing them, they got out early. They aren’t the type to wait until the last minute.
They were fortunate to have no house damage from Matthew - just had a couple of trees knocked over. I hope this situation is the same this time.
How dare they play video games while you were worrying about them! LOL
I slid right into that one, didn’t I? LOL
You sure did! I was not even paying attention! LOL!
I wasn’t either!
Seems like yesterday. RIP all who died as a result of this barbarous act.
Yes I am Kathy, how’s about you?
Please keep us updated with things at home, Prayers.
Good evening Kathy. *hugs*
A sad day to remember but one we must NEVER forget!
