A Connecticut town councilman forced to resign after discovery of his interest in the "furry" subculture was not unfairly discriminated against, the town's mayor says.
New Milford Councilman Scott Chamberlain, a Democrat, resigned Friday after initially defending his role in the community of people interested in animal role play.

So you’d trade one effeminate freak for another? What is wrong with people? Sex perverts of all flavors should be shunned. Society needs to restore shame.

I was in the Walgreens on W Kennedy Blvd in Tampa when I encountered two male teen “furries,” both dressed up in ratty animal costumes, holding their head-pieces.
I sensed they were what I had read about.
At one point:
“Are you two - furries? Like - FURRIES?”
The alpha one shot me some bedroom eyes -
“Yes we are. Would you like to try it?”
All I could say through my laugh was -
“I don’t have a suit.”

When we went to Target the other day, the men’s section had a rack full of head to toe animal costumes or pajamas. I couldn’t tell which. The amount of furry jokes and laughter while we were shopping..

If transhumanism ever becomes a thing it will be truly interesting/revolting/gut-busting to see what people choose to look like.

That actually sounds cute.
This looks upsetting to the cat and makes me question the owner's mental state ;)

What's with all the brony/furry hate? I've been a brony since 2012 and been to BronyCon three times. I've made a number of friends through the fandom. Nerdy, geeky guys but good people many of whom are conservative. As for furries you know it's getting popular when this happens:

Saw it at Wal-Mart. In the men’s section. Didn’t really know what to make of it...

No, I distinctly said I’d trade our effeminate freak of a mayor for a large group of furries. Not just one. It’s a better shot at sanity.

We can only hope we have space colonies by then so all the people who want to become part animal can live in their own colonies way away from the rest of sane humanity, and it will be a fun reality show to watch all the human-herbavore hybrids run away from the hungry human-carnivore hybrids....

Strange as it may sound it’s actually a thing. The current version of the show, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, somehow connects with nerds and geeks. I watched it out of curiosity and got hooked by the third episode. I’m glad it happened as I’ve made a bunch of friends and had great experiences with them: four BronyCons, singing in an a capella group, hanging out at meetups.
