There has been a lot of buildup ahead of Ben Shapiros speaking engagement at UC Berkeley. Between the university initially blocking him from its campus and its efforts to limit the crowd size, its becoming quite the anticipated event.

This one gives a quick view on some his positions.

Likely clive-piven sympathy...strategy...trying to make it seem it is hate speech...they jumped the shark...
During WWII the men went “over there” without hesitation and did their job for our country and the rest is history. Contrast that with Pajama Boys of today and if they were time warped to the War they would be sucking their thumbs, wetting their pants and protesting the unjust war. At the same time, women of that era are sometimes unheralded as many served, worked in essential factories, filled important positions left by men and still raised families. These “I’m with Her”,”Pussy Hat” wearing snowflake women of today have not one ounce of what the American woman had fighting the good fight and keeping America strong back then.
Mocked? They ought to be drummed out of academia. I had no idea there was a major in being a pussy.
>>What has he done to make the alt-Left hate him so?<<
Shapiro.
No more need be said.
In the 80's, I got the duty of recruiting on the Berkeley campus for IBM. Every time, sooner or later, someone would come up to me and ask why IBM had sold tabulating machines to the Nazis. Answer: It was legal and at the time we were not at war. Geeez....
He argues, intelligently, that their most deeply-held beliefs are totally wrong.
The Crybaby Generation!
How about this for any answer, “Stalin recommended it since at the time he was allied with the Germans. He said they pay on time in cash! And it was legal since we weren’t at war!”.
Rumor has it that STEM people take the back way off campus, normally, but, when they want to get laid, they find a Education or Poli Sci major, lie about their name, and agree with her politics, at least until they can get their clothes back on...
Janet Napolitano probably has her UC staff still changing their diapers
They need to have about 20 Waaaambulances on standby for the stressed out snowflakes in Californication.

Yup, sounds right. Trouble with hooking up with an Ed or Poli Sci major, what the heck do they talk about after the dastardly deed?
Colleges are TEACHING mentally ill thinking patterns. To raise every little thing to a catastrophe, to assume ill intent in everything, to say you know what others are thinking subconsciously.

If she tells how sex is her method of supporting the Proletariat Struggle against the Bosses, and her orgasm is her symbol of Social Supremacy, the accepted response is to say something about how she might think about getting a blood test...
You got it right. The kids are being programmed into mental illness by all these control freaks. I am amazed at how far things have slid in just the last generation. The absurdity of this one cannot be understated: They are offering emotional psychological support to people disturbed by the mere idea that someone was invited to speak. These people are not being forced to hear him, or even be anywhere near the campus when he does speak. They are offended just at the thought of the invitation. And Ben Shapiro is not all that provocative.
There are very few of the old guard liberal/leftists - the people who used to go to Berkley and burn the place down to demand more free speech diversity - speaking up. They are letting this new breed of CTRL-Leftist run the show, shutting down debate, dissent, free speech, free thought. The only one I can think of who is speaking out against the trend is Alan Dershowitz.
