I have a rule that I always try to keep in mind with things like this.
NEVER hand your enemy a weapon to use against you.
The Left could easily extrapolate Trump’s DACA actions to be supportive of this sort of scenario.
I know they didn’t see it that way back then, but that won’t stop them now.
This is a young kid. DACA folks won’t be so young, mostly adults. That wouldn’t stop the Left from gaming the issue, with a graphic like this.
“See, the Right didn’t like it when Clinton did it!”
I’m not sure this is a good idea.

But many of the young people who'd receive it wouldn't have the slightest idea. And even when word finally gets around to them, a very small few of them most likely, it would be too late. It would already be planted in their minds.

Thanks ETL.
I don’t like to come out this negative against another FReeper’s idea, but I think this one qualifies for that type of response.

It’s another example of leftist hypocrisy.
Whatever happens from day to day, the left always spins their way and gets the larger megaphone via the MSM.

Except that Elian was not here illegally under the rules for Cubans seeking asylum. The DACA people are here illegally.

Yes, most on the left, particularly the large numbers of young or otherwise naive who are part of that group, basically don’t know squat about anything. I love the “man on the street” interviews with them. Because there they reveal how utterly ignorant and stupid they are, for all the world to see.

DACA folks wont be so young, mostly adults.
And some, I'm sure, with kids of their own in some cases.
There is your "for the children" angle.
And they'll have citizenship, according to current legal interpretation.

And Mexico is not Cuba. Do Mexicans and others want to argue that Mexico is on par with Cuba?
