Former President Obama lashed out at President Trump for ending the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program, which was thought to be on shaky legal ground.
Obama ripped Trump as “cruel,” lacking ” basic decency” and acting “contrary to our spirit, and to common sense.”
“To target these young people is wrong – because they have done nothing wrong. It is self-defeating – because they want to start new businesses, staff our labs, serve in our military, and otherwise contribute to the country we love. And it is cruel,” Obama wrote in a lengthy Facebook post.
“What if our kid’s science teacher, or our friendly neighbor turns out to be a Dreamer? Where are we supposed to send her? To a country she doesn’t know or remember, with a language she may not even speak?”

Obama has the stones to accuse Trump for acting political. The whole DACA crap was done for politics. He is a hypocrite.
BTW no illegals, DACA or otherwise, are being deported. So the cry is bullshit.
Not my problem. Get them the hell out -- all of them -- and let them apply for immigration back into the US like everyone else.
Having said that -- I have no illusions that anyone in government will do that. I suspect Congress uses this as an opportunity to foist some sort of "immigration reform" on us. Trump seems to be challenging them to do just that. In fact if Trump can get votes for tax reform in exchange for some compromise on DACA I can live with that. I can see an argument made that the children of illegals are a separate case of some sort.
As it is now I am not sure Trump has the votes for tax cuts, ObamaCare reform or much of anything. He will have to cut a "deal deal".

No, the DACA program had no sunset, they could have renewed 2 year passes forever. The deadline was imposed by the state attorneys general who sued to stop DAPA, the Usurper’s second and larger illegal amnesty for illegal aliens. They were going to file suit yesterday to stop DACA if Trump did not.
Trump did not want to defend this in court and lose, which would have been the outcome. DACA had no more legal basis than DAPA, which is not legal.
Justice might be satisfied if Mexico and all of their citizens that you, Bush and Congress enticed to come here illegally filed a class action lawsuit against all of you for damages they and Mexico suffered as a result.
Barry, for Great Justice, all your money, which you have acquired thanks to your political status, are belong to them.

Obama got his own battles to fight now...can’t call on SOS, or AG, or any “government” entities - except the RINO suck-asses in Congress, to do his bidding.

The real problem is a population that doesn’t known that foreigner’s children are not natural born citizens.
If Obama feels so strongly about this maybe he should sign another executive order. Oh I guess he can’t because he’s not president anymore.
It should be the Deferred Action on MEXICAN Children Act. That’s what it is.
