The Salt Lake City police detective who arrested nurse Alex Wubbels for not allowing police to draw blood from an unconscious patient has been fired from his part-time paramedic job with Gold Cross Ambulance Service. Payne was placed on paid administrative leave from his full-time job as an officer with the Salt Lake City Police Department after a video of the arrest went viral. In a separate video recorded after the arrest, Payne asked another officer how the incident would affect his part-time position with the ambulance company. Payne bragged that he could retaliate against the hospital by only bringing them “transients,” adding that he would “take good patients elsewhere.” Gold Cross posted a statement on Facebook on Tuesday that said they took Payne’s “inappropriate remarks regarding patient transports seriously” and announced Payne’s termination was “effective immediately.”

“this guy really needs an attitude adjustment before he’s ever allowed to work in either role ever again.”
Ten years or so in a Federal penitentiary should do it.

My Point? Exactly what I said. You replied to your own post. Clear enough?
The fact that he is hateful and vengeful enough to even make a statement like that shows he should never be in a job working with the public.
Well that is profound. Hope you are happy with it. No more clarification needed.
I do that too if there’s a typo or I want to add additonal info or correct something.
Sure there have always been petty tyrants willing to stomp over all the polite civilized people who get in their path but they seem to be multiplying.
So he loses his part-time job. He needs to lose his full-time job as a cop. And needs to lose his freedom by being jailed for unlawful assault of that nurse. Jerk has no business being a cop, doing harm to the public and associates.
Poster boy for bad cops and public employees in general.
No need to get indignant lurker. Can you make a mistake, perfect one? What use is a response to yourself? You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Have you heard that one. Will leave that up to you.
This guy is a serial boob. His next step will probably be to alienate his lawyer, and eventually get a mediocre defense, and a much longer sentence because of that.
Who ya talking to?

if you have noticed they don’t wear blue anymore
they wear black
The University of Utah Hospital, where a nurse was manhandled and arrested by police as she protected the legal rights of a patient, has imposed new restrictions on law enforcement, including barring officers from patient-care areas and from direct contact with nurses.
You’re not doing yourself any favors.
So what?
More than that needs to happen.
The cops were desperate to get that blood sample. His boss pressured him to get it. Why? The answer to that question will explain a lot.
I'm thinking the SLC police department is dirty. They wanted that blood sample for a reason.
Good. Who in his right mind would want an out of control animal like that caring for them in an ambulance anyway?
Next take his cop job.
None of them are getting it. They are still talking about ways they can take the blood.
More suspensions/firings needed.
