Judge Roy Moore: ‘It’s Time We End Federal Government’s Involvement in Education’

In a video message posted to his Twitter account, former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore says it is time to end the federal government’s involvement in education and allow parents to take the lead in how best to educate their children.

“Education has always been in the purview of the parent,” explains Moore, who is running against establishment GOP candidate Luther Strange in Alabama’s U.S. Senate primary runoff for the seat vacated by now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

“They know best how to educate their children,” he continues. “The states have various forms of education, but the federal government has no involvement in education under the Constitution.”

I have a few ideas about cleaning up our universities.

It involves government intervention.

I’m not into the government telling the schools what to do, but I do think the citizens of his nation deserve to know the students are not being brainwashed with the intent to overturn the nation.

Why should you or I have our tax dollars going to schools, that use that funding to tear down our nation?

I don’t want the kids being fed things that amount to child abuse.

Ideally I’d like these schools locally run. I’d like to see them locally funded.

That wouldn’t exactly work out in Marin County, CA, or San Francisco, CA.

Those places would twist the kid’s minds in the shape of a hammer and cycle or worse.

Is it your take we simply go local and whatever happens happens?

Is it your take our universities professors should continue to be 90+% radical Leftists?

If the government is totally removed from education, the market will flush out the frivolity and the unmarketable courses. Control will be at local and at state level. I don’[t think that even the state governments should be involved in education but that is another argument. At the post HS level removal of government interference and money, including all forms of loans and scholarships, returns control of content and viewpoint to the education consumers. I cannot say for sure that it would improve content. It probably would continue to get worse in the major urban areas because those areas’ Democrat governments will keep their iron grip on the education of future voters.California. The main thing would be that no central authority with its own reality-deficient theories and agandae will be warping the schools and substituting doctrine for content. The older generations are not so far removed (yet) from knowledge and substance to fail at injecting education back into the system. In another thirty years of Federal control, I don’t believe it will matter who controls the schools or how anymore.
