Show us a busted brake hose and maybe we will believe you! I had one break on me years ago. I had enough sense to know what had happened and grabbed the parking brake.

Most people today completely forget the parking brake is even there.

The video circulating was taken from the Fastenal parking lot on Kearney street which is right beside Fabick Caterpillar. I was there yesterday and some of the parts guys at Cat saw the whole thing. This was an accident plain and simple. Trump has a huge following in Springfield if there was anything besides an accident it would have gotten out in the public in a matter of hours.

As far as the car having redundancy in the brake system it is very easy for a driver to neglect one failing system and relying on the other which can also fail. This is an industrial area which is ripe with less than desirable people that routinely neglect safety.

Very few drivers have the sense of mind to be able to quickly respond to extraordinary failures.

I drove right by the spot where they came out of the parking lot into the road. They were not it “the woods” as reported. There is a small tree line and some overgrown vegetation between the parking lot they were in and the ditch.

This was not a “dry run” or an attempt to ram the “Beast”. They were about as close as Hillary was to Bill on election night at 2:00 am.

ON second look it appears that they probably were in the Bass pro call center parking lot, lost their brakes, and came out of the woods down the road from the retention pond or whatever it was.

I have a friend who works at the Bass Pro office. I asked her about it. This is what she told me:

"The brakes went out on the vehicle. She was coming down a winding road to exit the property and they failed. Poor time for her. Sadly, a few people took advantage and posted videos claiming she attempted to ram the motorcade."

There is in fact a huge parking lot for Bass Pro Shops “base camp” campus right on the other side of the tree line. It was not lurking “in the woods”. The parking lot has a very defined grade slopping towards the road.

Once again this was a straight up accident.

I can’t believe how twisted some of the responses here are.

There is nothing here but a poor woman in a low rent car in a parking lot that lacked the ability to respond to a major failure in her old probably high mileage and well worn car.

Exactly what the guys at Cat said.

There is nothing conspiratorial here except wild imaginations run amuck.

Bull freaking sht. Any bum out there sleeping or smoking pot in that line of tree by a spill lake would have had cops all over his a$$. I once was at a park minding my own business and a freaking police helicopter landed to check things out at my truck.

I have a feeling the PD here is either gelded by driving dikes or is part of the plot.

Have you looked at the sat view? How did she get off the bass parking lot, jumped a sidewalk to the tree line and then crossed out into a main road? It is so convoluted, makes no sense. And when your brakes fail, you go from on road to off road, she did the exact opposite

I agree with you.

Perfect timing, perpendicular alignment, and actual acceleration for the motorcade.

Just a coincidence? Bullsh!t

All I can say, it is a long way from the Bass parking lot. There are trees and what looks like a small hill from the Bass entrance road to her tree line location. The only normal way to where she was is through a dirt service road on the opposite side of the lake from Bass Pro. Are there skid or drag marks through the mulchy knoll? Makes no sense at all.

My take is someone undid the brakes prior as an excuse if caught.

Ok, so she jumped a sidewalk, crossed another one down onto a mall road and jumped another sidewalk over a mulchy knoll avoiding trees, road alongside the highway on the dirt and turned right over a ditch onto the highway ? what was she doing on the parking lot? 80mph?

Makes no sense at all.

In total agreement with you. Smells like a setup. The brakes failure statement was a planned excuse.

Pop these coordinates into Google maps: 37°14'22.1"N 93°14'53.8"W (or just click on them.)

It is directly in line with a road. Now turn on satellite view, and zoom in. See the light poles?

Now look at this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz3l42SlFG0&t=16s

Notice that the car is closer to the far light pole, which would again line it up with the access road between East Kearney Street and East Turner Street.

She was apparently driving north on that access road when her brakes failed. She didn't negotiate the right hand turn, went through the grass, and through the ditch.

You know, sometimes people panic and freeze up in an emergency.

Sorry, but your Google maps exonerated her in my eyes.

Seems to me that this is rush to a conclusion as well. I was surprised to see that these women were released on the spot and not at least taken in for questioning while their backgrounds were checked out. Maybe they did not intentionally try to interfere with the motorcade but the exact timing of this seems to warrant a little more investigation than what apparently took place. I suspect if there were two men in the car, they would have been tackled to the ground by Secret Service, led away in handcuffs and questioned rather vigorously for a few hours.

And how was it that someone just happened to be filming at the right spot? I’m not saying that the person with the camera was involved. A lot of Trump supporters might have filmed his motorcade if they were in the area. But it was awfully coincidental that he was at just the right spot.

Terrorists film and keep other records of their test runs. If the photographer was in on it, then my biggest question is “how did the video get loose on the internet?” Or maybe “why did it get on the internet?”

“...just a coincidence...Bullsh!t...”

This absolutely was not a coincidence. The timing is just too precise.

Why is this being covered up is the question???
