Notice that the car is closer to the far light pole, which would again line it up with the access road between East Kearney Street and East Turner Street.

She was apparently driving north on that access road when her brakes failed. She didn't negotiate the right hand turn, went through the grass, and through the ditch.

You know, sometimes people panic and freeze up in an emergency.

Sorry, but your Google maps exonerated her in my eyes.

Assuming the driver is innocent and this is a 1:1,000,000 "perfect storm" event, then I freely offer a "mea culpa". It would be wrong not too. But given contemporary events with violence and threats of violence against all things conservative these days ... no one should blame me or anyone like me for being skeptical. This is not the time to let our guard down.
