WASHINGTON Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is raising speculation that Harriet Tubmans future on the $20 bill could be in jeopardy.
In a CNBC interview, Mnuchin on Thursday avoided a direct answer when asked whether he supported the decision made by the Obama administration to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with Tubman, the 19th century African-American abolitionist who was a leader in the Underground Railroad.
People have been on the bills for a long period of time, he said. This is something well consider. Right now, we have a lot more important issues to focus on.

That’s the right thing to do. I’d put the eagle back on the quarter though. you can move the bear and turkey around as you see fit. :-)
You’re right, and others have pointed this out as well.
I’d leave them do to their standing in our nation’s history, and the fact they’ve been on our bills for a long time.
There’s no need to replace them.
As for Reagan, his time will come and I think he should be on one of our bills.
Mnuchi, i DON’T GIVE 2¢, WHAT YOU WANT OR THINKLEAVE THE MONEY ALONE!!!!
Or bring back the ‘Indian Head’ Penny. And watch the left’s heads explode.
And we should make them out of silver copper and gold.
Good point, $10 Hamilton and $100 Franklin were not presidents. I muffed that one.

As others have pointed out, they were not political activists.
The last thing I want on one of our bills is a person who was an abortion activist. (As I understand it, Tubman was.)
“Trump should put Reagan on the $10.”
If he did that, and I fully support it, I would almost never use a $20 again.
If he does he would be making a huge mistake.
I have been lurking 4chan for months. If the Treasury Dept goes through with this they will spend $40 to put every one of these bills in circulation and keep it there. They have a lot of “creative” uses for this bill that will limit it’s circulation pretty seriously.
Yeah, probably since it used to be on the quarter.
I was searching around for appropriate animals. I like the bear. The turkey, well.....maybe a long horn cow or a wild horse instead.

Hopefully.
Put a person like Tubman on every bill. Half our populace would avoid cash like the plague.
He was an abolitionist.
I wouldn’t have a problem with putting two portraits on a bill. In fact I think it would be a great idea to have both Franklin and Tubman on a bill.
Or Lincoln and Tubman.
Liberal heads would explode... since they are trying to resegregate everyone into warring factions and erase the history of the Republican party by assuming its historic mantle as their ownwhilst smearing us with their evils.

[In fact, I’d like to be the artist to do it.]
You okay with Obama on the $3 bill?
How about putting sections on the Constitution on the backs of the money. Kids could fold it to make it say all sorts of crazy things just like federal judge, but they might learn what it says
Susan B Anthony dollar again.
No one will want them.
Our old currency is beautiful and defined liberty and heritage. What’s the point now anyway? Our society will be cashless for the most part in twenty years. Coins are a nuisance and worthless. I rarely touch money anymore.
William Vacanarat Shadrach Tubman (1895 1971), 19th President of Liberia, is on the Liberian $20 bill.
Make everyone happy. Put Tubman on a three dollar bill.
