Notting Hill Carnival revellers were filmed running in panic after a "mild acidic liquid" was thrown over a crowd at the festival. Police said they were investigating after the liquid was thrown near Ladbroke Grove on Sunday evening.

What’s the big deal? I though this type of occurrence was to be expected in major metropolitan and international city, according to the mayor of London
Not sure why the Brits think they can they get away with their obsession of having large festivals anymore, given their repopulation program.
I assume that American KKK and neo Nazi White Supreemists from Charlottesville have crossed the pond to commit these acts of terrorism.
I wonder how “mildly” acid it was?
I was in London a few weeks ago, I took a large 1 liter water bottle all over with me.
I think that in the future in addition to a bottle of water, a little bicarb or baking soda might be another good addition for this “new normal” of terrorism.
Yeah, we’re supposed to get used to this now.

Another site reports (guesses?) that it was drain cleaner. Drain cleaners usually contain dilute sulfuric acid.
if this report is true, expect the UK to ban drain cleaners.
OMG it is coming here. Islam is a Satanic ideology which seeks to destroy the Truth everywhere.
Mix the Bi-Carb or Baking Soda in the water and put a spray top on the bottle.
ROP’s at it again. But they’re told they’ll have to live with those islamics attacking them; it is now just part of everyday life - ho hum.
I thought they contained lye, which is a base. Can we start throwing vinegar at the Antifa douchebags? It’s acidic.
Notting Hill were Londoners get a full dose of what “diversity” actually means. I saw photos of businesses in Notting Hill boarding up as start day approached. The boards were soon defaced with graffiti.
You can get both acid and lye based drain cleaners. People that try one and when that one doesn’t work then pour the other type down the same stopped up drain can tell you how exciting that can be!

That rings a bell, now that you mention it. So I did a little research. It turns out that some drain cleaners use sodium hydroxide (lye), and some use sulfuric acid instead.
One site mentioned that the sulfuric acid concentration in such cleaners can often be higher than 90%. (wow)

Boarding up? How times have changed. I’m guessing that 50 years ago those businesses would have been setting out goods for sale.
I don’t believe this report. The mayor of London says London is a safe city.
Seems like it would be hard on some drain pipes. I’m curious what was used. Orange juice is “ an acidic liquid “
