So I rob a bank and I am not captured after 5 years. Then I am free in this thinking. There would be a five year time limit to catch the criminal or we can’t press charges. . Or to level the playing field, no fingerprints, no pictures, no DNA etc. We don’t have that from illegals, give legals the same rights

Sherrod Brown holds one of the seats that we can probably take in 2018. He rode in on a wave of anti-Bush sentiment in 2008. Those sentiments have waned. He beat Mike Dewine by a margin of 13% in 2006. He beat Josh Mandel by a margin of 6% in 2012. Mandel will probably be running against him again in 2018 but Ohio is definitely trending more to the right in 2017 than it was in 2006, 2008, and 2012 as evidenced by Trump’s crushing victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.

If this Senator were serious, he would see how to pass a law to fix the problem. This means give and take. A willingness to give in to the priorities of the other side.
But, the guy isn’t real. He just yapping to his people as though the Democrats were in charge.
We have a deal maker in the White House. If we get the wall, if we get rid of anchor babies, and if we require that immigrants get no welfare for five years, then I think we can accept “grandfathering” those who have been here and kept their nose clean.
But, it’s not for me to speak on behalf of the President or to pretend to offer deals that become the starting point for negotiation. This is for the President and the others to figure it out, probably in a private room, no cameras.
Bottom line for me: It Trump is for it, I’m for it.
