An assistant professor at the University of Iowa who pledged to expose her students to “their own white ignorance” in a “peer-reviewed academic journal” was stunned and appalled that she was, well, criticized for it.
Jodi Linley, a white education instructor, wrote that her goal was to make her “mostly white” graduate students keenly aware of their “white privilege” and use her classroom to “deconstruct whiteness.” If she did otherwise, she explained, it would make her “complicit” in perpetrating white supremacy.
“For white students,” she wrote, “talking about race with an all-white group of peers … [reveals] their own white ignorance.”
Linley said her commitment to designing classes that fight white privilege began as soon as she became a professor in 2014, at which point she resolved to “develop courses that both unveiled and rejected” the notion that “neutrality and objectivity are realistic and attainable.”
“As a white assistant professor of mostly white graduate students who will become higher education leaders, I work to dismantle whiteness in my curriculum, assignments and pedagogy,” Linley explained, noting that in addition to her “white identity,” she also draws on her “identities as a queer, able-bodied, cisgender woman” with a working-class background to construct her “teaching paradigm.”

There you have another example of WHY the youth of today, be they white, black, yellow, red or any other shades mixed together, are so adrift. This ASSISTANT professor is a prime example of why those youth need a new compass.

I met a black woman who seemed very nice but made some comments like “You ain’t discriminatory, are you?”
Found out later that she asked the property manager if they sold houses to black people.

The white privilege is the new narrative from people who must elevate themselves by undermining white Europeans for building the modern world through their intellectual capabilities, a driving work ethic, and a Christian belief that the individual has worth and talents. Keep in mind that education instructors are not scientists, they are not mathematicians, they are not engineers, and they are not medical doctors. In short, education instructors would never survive in the STEM fields.

I remember when people who graduated from American high schools could read, write and correctly speak the English language. Now only a select few of those who finish grad school can do so.

But they are the instructors indoctrinators of our future teachers.

Shaming like that only works if the person being shamed gives the person doing the shaming the power to do it.
If the person being shamed discounts the shaming completely with contempt, ridicule, and laughter, the shaming becomes an exercise in stupidity, basically “virtue signaling” for people who think the same way they do.
Why would anybody pay for that kind of "education" experience?
These people are always the first ones to be carted off to be murdered by the mob, exclaiming all while “Don’t do this! Why are you doing this? I believe in the things you believe in! I am on your side!”
Most tyranny’s of an kind require stupid, useful idiots to get the tyrants in place...they get rid of the stupid, useful idiots who helped them.

She won’t be happy until she projects her self-loathing upon normal, well-adjusted white kids in Iowa I guess.
