An assistant professor at the University of Iowa who pledged to expose her students to “their own white ignorance” in a “peer-reviewed academic journal” was stunned and appalled that she was, well, criticized for it.
Jodi Linley, a white education instructor, wrote that her goal was to make her “mostly white” graduate students keenly aware of their “white privilege” and use her classroom to “deconstruct whiteness.” If she did otherwise, she explained, it would make her “complicit” in perpetrating white supremacy.
“For white students,” she wrote, “talking about race with an all-white group of peers … [reveals] their own white ignorance.”
Linley said her commitment to designing classes that fight white privilege began as soon as she became a professor in 2014, at which point she resolved to “develop courses that both unveiled and rejected” the notion that “neutrality and objectivity are realistic and attainable.”
“As a white assistant professor of mostly white graduate students who will become higher education leaders, I work to dismantle whiteness in my curriculum, assignments and pedagogy,” Linley explained, noting that in addition to her “white identity,” she also draws on her “identities as a queer, able-bodied, cisgender woman” with a working-class background to construct her “teaching paradigm.”

Every day, another law to pacify the small minority demanding more and more of us and every day, no politician or judge with the guts to stand up and say - THAT’S IT! Had that happen to us when we sold are house in CA in the '70s. The black guy asked us if the neighborhood discriminated against blacks. I told him "This is California, The only color we are concerned about is green - as in money."
He didn't buy the house.
Given the fact that two of those white men were my 2nd great grandfather and his first cousin who lost an arm in the Battle of Winchester, the "white guilt" thing ain't quite working for me either.
Actually, the "white guilt" thing should be laid on creep/parasites like that commie white education instructor (a.k.a. propagandist) who avoid referring to the "white guilt thing" by its proper Marxist name "conscientization" which is a social concept grounded in Marxist critical theory and involves artificially manipulating people into feeling guilty about things that they ordinarily wouldn't - or shouldn't - feel guilty about.
Also known as "critical consciousness," it also includes taking action against the so-called "oppressive" elements in one's life that are illuminated by that understanding.
My own favorite definition of the "white guilt thing" is "grievance-mongering." This is something that the black agitators used to do in places like Chicago during the 1960's. It also included the shrill whining of the radical feminists.
My niece who is a teacher said that the school where she teaches does not even require students to learn cursive handwriting any more.
It began with the Frankfurt School which got transplanted to Columbia University ( Obama's alma mater ) during the Second World War. The following article explains it all very well.

These people are just crazy, Linley and all these other LGBTQ whatever people.
I almost wish they never had, I learned to write cursive but I could never make it look good no matter how hard I tried. Seriously though, there is not a lot of need for that skill now, I find it much more disturbing that people who call themselves journalists make so many of the type of errors that would have gotten me an F on my English final at the end of the eighth grade. It grates on my nerves to read what passes for news reporting now, even apart from the political slant.

It’s actually almost at the same fever pitched that the Nazis were at with regard to jews.
Most of the things written against whites today could have the term white replaced with Juden and it would have fit right in Nazi Germany.

Doesn’t work. I was harassed at work due to my race and I went through the entire process with HR and refused to fire because the person was a minority. I talked to a lawyer and they told me if I was any race but white I’d have a slam dunk case.
I went to the engineering school in Iowa, Iowa State.
U of I has always been nutty, and it is getting worse.
I have told my kids that should not expect me to pay for anything if they chose to go to UofI.
