Stormfront, one of the internets oldest and most popular white supremacist sites, has been booted off its web address of more than two decades amid a crackdown against hate sites.
The address Stormfront.org went dark on Friday, and publicly available information current lists its domain status as under hold, a category reserved for websites under legal dispute or slated for deletion, the USA Today network first reported.
The Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, a D.C.-based nonprofit group, said it was behind the effort and had successfully booted the website from its domain of 22 years by raising its concerns with Stormfronts registrar, Network Solutions LLC, and its parent company, Web.com.

Now, if they would do the same to CNN, we could have some peace.
I agree. An internet site is nothing more than free speech. I assume they would win a law suit if they filed one.
FR already been mentioned as a target on reddit.
I’ll defend the site - so long as they’re not advocating violent overthrow of the government let them say their peace.
That, so-called, “civil rights lawyers” have managed to successfully censor a website is chilling and frightening and must be stopped hand, tooth and nail.
The far right has its own web, but what use is a site no-one will serve?

What bull sh#t. What are "hate sites"?
Better pull down every last one of the Delusional Lying Leftist sites that are saturated with hatred for America and Americans.
This is 21st century version of book-burning.
Ill defend the site - so long as theyre not advocating violent overthrow of the government let them say their peace.
Ironically, it’s net neutrality-type regulations that would prevent private web hosting companies from doing this kind of thing. Unless we regulate the web as a utility this will continue.
The Daily Stormer got nuked also.
FR might not be next but the precedent has been set.
Who’s next? Perhaps the hate America sites? Sites like those belonging to the major players in the recent protest movement, all or nearly all of whom are communist or anarchist-communist. One of them openly calls for the violent overthrow of the US government. Same org created the phony “Refuse Fascism” group. That org is the Revolutionary Communist Party. See my FR Home page for lots more on who these groups are.
Either there is free speech or there is “approved speech.” There cannot be both.
“Approved speech” will be whatever those in power say it is.
Net Neutrality doesn’t matter. The US gave up sovereignty of the Internet. Move your banned site to another country and it’s DOA if it’s not politically correct.
Or you could hide it on the dark net and receive a minute fraction of the original traffic.
Because leaving them alone enables them and their members to be exposed for what they are.
Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, for it quickly exposes the fools.
And the traitors.
“so long as theyre not advocating violent overthrow of the government” What was the Revolution about?
While I detest that toxic camp of Jew hate and love for the 3rd reich, we should all remember that could happen to us in an afternoon.
We have all enjoyed the wild west days of the internet. Now they are moving to sanitize it and make it safe for globalists and leftists.

This is an early book, and a bit old now. But it really lays out how in the 90s Hillary understood what the internet would be and made hard moves to have its content government regulated. The first amendment is as valuable as the 2nd.
The answer to bad speech is more speech.
Meanwhile, in San Francisco today thousands gathered for a demonstration marking the fact that the “so-called” (to quote the newsreader chippie on CBS’s local Philly outlet channel 3) Patriot Prayer conservative rally planned for this afternoon had been cancelled due to safety concerns - we are now openly celebrating the fact that free speech found unworthy by the mob can be shut down under threat of harm to those trying to exercise the right - this is very chilling stuff......
Which Revolution?
What happened in the USA did not disestablish the British monarchy, but established independence.
