One of the biggest NASCAR sponsors lobbied to have the event moved. Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis wrote in a letter dated for Tuesday that neither he nor anyone from Camping World would participate in an event at any Trump property "due to recent and ongoing blatantly bigoted and racist comments from Donald Trump in regards to immigrants of the United States."
Trump has made several comments about immigrants while on the campaign trail.
"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best," Trump said when announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination last month. "They're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists."
An immigrant from Lebanon, Lemonis has seen success as the owner of Camping World and other businesses. He is the star of the CNBC show "The Profit" where he invests in struggling businesses.
"Our company will not stand to support any person or organization that associates with such beliefs, and we feel strongly about distancing ourselves from any negative and discriminatory comments made against any gender, ethnicity, age group or so forth," Lemonis wrote. "I would hope that the entire NASCAR organization would agree with my sentiments."

Umm, Camping World isn’t NASCAR. And don’t forget, the NRA sponsors NASCAR races. NASCAR is one of the FEW corporate entities outside of the firearm/hunting/camping sphere that will even associate itself with the NRA.
Well, well, well
Not only is Lemonis a hypocrite, he’s also a liar. Didn’t mean it to include Trump voters, eh, Marcus?
You shot your big mouth of, now more than once. And you think we don’t see right thru you

Well said.
Many local race tracks run with sanctions other than NASCAR, BTW. Support them, and tell them that you won’t be attending visiting NASCAR events.

(Creepy, making my skin crawl)
I’m one of them. I used to spend some big bucks on NASCAR every year until about three years ago. Now, I don’t even watch it on TV anymore. It has gone totally to crap.
It’s Old NEWS now.
Unlike at least some Freepers I’ve never been a big NASCAR fan. However,it’s my understanding that NASCAR is particularly popular in the South,a section of the country that went strongly for DJT.If I’m correct in this assumption this “distancing” just might pi$$ off a good number of NASCAR’s fans.
Not surprised. They have distanced themselves from their fans too.
I love dirt track racing. Those guys aren’t in it for the money as you can tell. They do it for the love of the sport. I grew up in southern California in the seventies and eighties, and remember a beautiful dirt track in the city of Gardena called Ascot Park. It’s gone now, but I spent so many weekends watching everything from midget and sprint car racing to Figure 8 and dirt track motorcycle races. I loved it and miss those days. I’m glad that dirt track racing is still pretty popular throughout the country. That’s the real racing in my mind.
The article at the link is from 2015.
Corporate/federal reserve communism. Such a controlled world.
Mark Martin sure didn’t like it:
“Ive been trying to find one those 2 door V-8 toyotas but havent had much luck.”
You’re looking in the wrong place. They have a separate “dealership” that sells only Chevotas. They come with a 350 Chevrolet engine that has been fitted with aftermarket “Toyota” valve covers, and a Holley carburetor, and unlike EVERY Toyota automobile made, it’s got a 9 inch Ford rear end and is rear wheel drive! NASCAR needs to set up another series called “Rice Burners,” that is populated with Japo Shit box front wheel drive cars. Banked track racing will be “interesting.” They will have to bring in aging Kamakazi pilots to drive them. Maybe there’s a slot or two for Blacks as well, since they have a penchant for killing themselves.
NASCAR ...
Black Flags offended Me!
What say You . MARCUS?
I have a question.
If I drive over to a Camping World location in my Car which has TRUMP 45 Vanity License Plates, will they refuse to sell me anything due to the Policy set up by their CEO?
at least one good thing,
Camping World has now OUTED itself...revealed for all to see just why we will not patronize CW
we are so fortunate to live in USA where there are many fine competitors we can patronize gladly
I use to run pure stock. Cost 100 bucks a race in fuel to get there and race. If you won you would get 150 bucks. It was for the fun and friends.
