NASCAR distances itself from Donald Trump after remarks
ABC ^ | Jul 4, 2015 | BOB POCKRASS via ESPN

Posted on 08/26/2017 8:53:44 AM PDT by conservative98

One of the biggest NASCAR sponsors lobbied to have the event moved. Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis wrote in a letter dated for Tuesday that neither he nor anyone from Camping World would participate in an event at any Trump property "due to recent and ongoing blatantly bigoted and racist comments from Donald Trump in regards to immigrants of the United States."

Trump has made several comments about immigrants while on the campaign trail.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best," Trump said when announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination last month. "They're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists."

An immigrant from Lebanon, Lemonis has seen success as the owner of Camping World and other businesses. He is the star of the CNBC show "The Profit" where he invests in struggling businesses.

"Our company will not stand to support any person or organization that associates with such beliefs, and we feel strongly about distancing ourselves from any negative and discriminatory comments made against any gender, ethnicity, age group or so forth," Lemonis wrote. "I would hope that the entire NASCAR organization would agree with my sentiments."

Yea lets just leave Nate Silver out of this, he’s been wrong a hell of a lot more than he’s been right on elections.

Marcus Lemonis: immigrant born in Lebanon

And with this you have discovered the problem. It's not just Lemonis, it's run through most "American" corporations. They aren't run by Americans. They are a bunch of short-term bottom line high compensation looters. Which makes them cheap labor express.

“1. You company is about to lose 75% of its customers. Liberal snowflakes don’t camp or hike in the woods.”

Camping World isn’t a hiker/camping store, it’s a meaga RV dealership and service company.

why post this when it is nearly two years old?

Because it shows Lemonis’ Trump comments were not taken out of context. He has been saying Trump and his supporters are racist and doesn’t want these people doing business with them since 2015.

He is a Carlos Slim wannabe.

Carlos Slim Helu is not a Mexican. His parents were Lebanese. This is always how the camel noses his way into the tent. MONEY HONEY. If they buy you/own you then they will call the shots for you.

NASCAR obeyed Marcus Lemonis and moved the event away from the Trump National Doral Miami resort. My family and I won’t be attending any more NASCAR races.

We already quit watching ESPN long ago for similar reasons. Even got rid of the satellite TV subscription because of the loads of politically correct garbage and incessant clucking from political class hens.

When CEOs Play Politics, Shareholders Can Take Them to Court

https://www.wsj.com/articles/when-ceos-play-politics-shareholders-can-take-them-to-court-1503011944#comments_sector

Target Corp. shareholders have watched helplessly since last year as another case of political posturing played out in North Carolina, where we work and live. Target’s activist CEO, Brian Cornell, responded to the state’s contentious House Bill 2, also known as the bathroom law, by announcing a new “inclusive” bathroom policy in April 2016. What were the results? Plummeting sales due to a widespread boycott, an erosion of market share and, most important, a 40% drop in Target’s stock price between April 2016 and July 2017. That devastation equated to a $20 billion loss of shareholder value while the market rose 15% in that same period....

...Our message to small shareholders of companies like Starbucks, Merck and Target: You can sue when a CEO decides to institute a corporate social-responsibility program that has no benefit to the business. If you want to ensure shareholder primacy is protected, keep your legal options open.

“Remember the “ no ‘rebel’ flags” at nascar events push? Looks like nascar will be trying to win over their blm fans now. Buy bye nascar.”

Yes, all you have to do is pan the crowd at a NASCAR race and you will note that almost complete absence of any “Holder’s People.” NASCAR isn’t the NFL, NBA or the pro Baseball Leagues. The numbers of successful Professional BLACK automobile race car drivers is about the same as the number of Chinese in the line of work!
All that said, I gave up watching NASCAR, because it’s promoters always are diddling the rules so that no one marque can actually win some races based on better technology or setups. Besides, under the skin, with the exception of the engines, these cars are pretty much identical. They even let Toyota run with a pushrod V8 engine that’s made in Los Angeles and is produced solely for their NASCAR program. The cylinder block rear mounting flange is a copy of the Chevrolet so they can use Chevy bell housings.

"And with this you have discovered the problem. It's not just Lemonis, it's run through most "American" corporations. They aren't run by Americans."

I discovered it during the '90s after working as an office temp in an American telephone company with a British board chairman at the time. Management was populated with anti-American, radical leftist people from countries south of our southern border (Costa Rica, Panama, etc.). I had just gotten out of a National Guard combat specialty after seven years.

That place was extremely hostile against Americans, especially those who had served. Saw the same attitudes in other U.S. corporations that practiced radical feminist/queer policies for cheap wages and anti-competition (anti-family) efforts.
