MICHAEL FEINSTEIN: ”LOVE WALKED IN”

In his eighties, Ira Gershwin took a number of musicians under his wing to mentor in order to pass on the traditions of the songbook. Feinstein was one of the lucky people who got to sit down at the piano with the last living link to George Gershwin. In this 1989 video, Michael sings it as a Schubert style lied accompanied by piano, string quartet and harp. He also sings the complete intro. This is great chamber music. Your screen may grow blurry when he goes sotto voce at the end.
