Sebastian Gorka is resigning his post as Deputy Assistant to President Trump, multiple sources familiar with the situation have told The Federalist.
In a blunt resignation letter, the national security and counterterrorism expert expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Trump administration. [G]iven recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are for now ascendant within the White House, Gorka wrote. As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the Peoples House.
Gorkas letter expressed unhappiness with the direction the Trump administrations foreign policy has taken, as signaled by the presidents recent speech on Afghanistan:
Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will Make America Great Again, have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week
The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost
Just as worrying, when discussing our future actions in the region, the speech listed operational objectives without ever defining the strategic victory conditions we are fighting for. This omission should seriously disturb any national security professional, and any American who is unsatisfied with the last 16 years of disastrous policy decisions which have led to thousands of Americans killed and trillions of taxpayer dollars spent in ways that have not brought security or victory.
During his time in the Trump administration, Gorka focused on issues such as countering the Muslim Brotherhood, the crisis in Qatar, drafting a new long-term national security strategy, and combatting Chinas economic warfare. Before coming to the White House, Gorka was an editor for national security affairs for Breitbart News, where he worked with Steve Bannon, who also recently departed the administration.
Gorkas tenure at the White House was marked by unusually vociferous attacks against him and his family by left-leaning media organizations and the Democratic Party. This includes personal attacks against his wife, mother, and son.
A source close to the White House said of his decision, This was more or less going to be a done deal when Bannon submitted his resignation. Not because he didnt have a protector, but because there is no point in having your life ruined every day if youre not going to get much accomplished. The same source said that what did change after Bannon left was that anti-Bannon factions began erecting bureaucratic road blocks to undermine Gorka internally.
The Forward has written dozens of attack pieces against Gorka, including several attempting to align him with Nazism. Most recently that publication retracted a story about his sons schoolwork. Gorka strenuously objected to allegations he had ties to Nazi groups in his familys home country of Hungary, where he had previously been involved in national politics. Even detractors eventually acknowledged the Nazi accusations were unfair smears.
In his letter, Gorka made clear that he believes in the promise of the Trump presidency despite being concerned about its present direction.
Your presidency will prove to be one of the most significant events in modern American politics. November the 8th was the result of decades during which the political and media elites felt that they knew better than the people who elect them into office. They do not, and the MAGA platform allowed their voices to be heard, he wrote, adding, Millions of people believe in, and have chosen, you and your vision of Making America Great Again. They will help eventually rebalance this temporary reality.

In America, we have many different classes, based on wealth and to some extent education.
What you posted, as a possible American future needs all kinds of tweeking. Or are you imagining that we'll be like the old USSR ?
Bad bad bad
I’ve noticed leaking is less since bannon has left. Seems like the media guy was a media guy incomprehensible wide open eyes time people. We need of wits about us
I agree. I find the forcing out of Sebastian Gorka extremely disturbing. Why wouldn't President Trump himself step up and insist that Gorka stay in the WH??
Nopardons,
I really respect you and have loved reading your posts through the years. Though the Murdoch’s still do not own the Daily Mail :p
However...
Though these things are really important and I think you Americans need to sort it out yourself.
I feel really bad about putting my 2 cents into your internal affairs. I will support you 110 percent internationally.
But, I feel your internal business ain’t mine. It’s not proper.
If managed right? The market will rise with increasing population. So, will prime real estate. Imho, but who knows.
And, I was not thinking of the USSR, which btw was on my border growing up, I was thinking of some latin American country on steroids.
Mexico with a lot stronger elite class and a massive population.
Shees I sound like a marxist writing this. lol.
Time for bed.
Nothing is for sure tomorrow is a new day look how far we have come in our fight against the culture of death. These things wev are seeing suck let’s not kid ourselves. Don’t stop fighting we must never quit. The idea of Americanism is special and we have all felt it in those quiet moments when this marvelous place its open land and liberty mesh in to realization of how beautiful it to be an individual in the land of the free. Don’t give up we can beat these wankers
If this turns out to be an untrue statement general kelly needs to be reevaluated because that’s a serious asshole move by a guy most think is honorable.
Thanks for your kind words re my posts and me; much appreciated.
Okay, let me explain it to you, in very simple terms....
First of all, property TAXES will rise; however the worth/selling prices of homes ( houses and apartments ) just can NOT rise, if the scenario you laid out comes true. There just won't be enough AMERICAN people to buy what's up for sale. And not only that...during recessions and depressions and BUBBLE BURSTS, the selling prices ALWAYS come crashing down!
Prices for the most expensive properties are met, now, in a whole LOT of different American cities, towns, villages, by Russian oligarchs, the uber wealthy Chinese, members of the massive royal family from Saudi Arabia, and yes, even by Aristo Eurotwits.
During previous time/eras, in this nation, when we went through panics, bust bubble, recessions, and depressions ( there were far more than just the GREAT DEPRESSION of 1929! ) the prices of EVERYTHING and salaries, came down.
Due to vast governmental interventions, some peculiar "tricks", and GOD only knows what else, that has NOT been true in the past few decades.
Both salaries and the crazy prices of things are now based on the kind of "funny money" accounting that was seen in the 1920-40s in Germany, what's now prevalent in Zimbabwe, Venezuela, and yes, just about everywhere world wide.
If you want/need examples of what I'm writing, send me a FRmail note and I'll be more than happy to fill in the blanks.
Now for the markets....
I, personally have lived through complete stagnations, wild swings, and yes, CRASHES! WHY ARE THEY ALL NOW SO HIGH? For many different reasons; however, the crazy swings, since and including BLACK MONDAY, in 1987, were ALL mostly or completely due to COMPUTER TRADING PROGRAMS!
Due to there being just about NO PLACE, other than the market/s to put one's money, now, AND Trump winning last Nov.'s election, people are into the market/s in a gigantic way. Can that all change on a dime? Of course it can as does with great regularity, plus SOROS has been trying to crash our market for years now. Will he be able to do it? Yes, but NOT alone ( and I'm talking about his syndicate as well as he himself ); it'll take something truly nasty.
It's okay...please feel free to post whatever you care to, just be prepared for people to either agree or disagree. :-)
Good night....pleasant dreams.
Trump is lucky to have honest supporters who will call him out. I see you are pissed I think I’m headed that way but we have got to give ourselves a little time to see wtf is going on. This is several decade long fight and some of you have been fighting it for decades but we are winning but it won’t all come at once. Could be wishful thinking but many of us have understood the culture war that has been going on for a ,long time entered into its endgame play for our sovereignty, and they
were rejected . Fight fight fight America is worth it
Sounds like someone is telling the truth.
He didn’t resign per media sources - he was forced out. Kelly/McMaster didn’t want him there.
He didn't, he still doesn't, and though NOT the final straw, this one is pretty damned close to it; especially since someone else was let go, a week ago, but there was NO thread about that, nor him.
Hell, IF the rumor mill is correct and he DOES send the person named, to Luxembourg, I can handle it, but SHALL be spilling the "nasty" beans about that person ( yes, I DID once, personally, actually know this person AND I know the "juicy" bits ! ) to some close friends here.
I've been fighting this fight, longer than some FR posters have been alive.
Nope...wrongo!
Effing daughter and bitch boy
The man supported Hillary. Ugh.
That’s exactly right
He did not hire the ideologues who represent those who voted him in
Stupid
Sebastian Gorka is a masterful geopolitical observer and strategist. I’m known a few other great ones including the late Fritz Kraemer (look him up - he was more than a Renaissance Man, he was a great world thinker and pro-America), so I know what to look for and hear from people who try to understand how the world really is, and what the problems are that confront us, and then propose realistic strategies & tactics to deal with them.
Gorka named radical Islam as a major threat. Frank Gaffney (Center for Security Policy) also does that, as does Col. Ralph Peters, Steve Emerson, Pam Geller, Ali Hirsi, Judi Zasser, Daniel Pipes, etc.
No one in the Obama administration ever did that. Now we have problems within the Trump administration by men who know better and should have the balls to say so.
The time has ended for “verbal moderation in descriptions of our enemies.”
Let’s call them what they are, an “Axis of Evil” from Communism to Militant Islam. Gorka does that. He should be listened to and praised, not shown the door.
Time for some common sense and guts to be the guiding lights of our foreign security policies, not “illogical moderation”. “Moderation” has only gotten us and our allied attacked, from Pearl Harbor to Korea to Vietnam to Red China, North Korea, Iran, Castro’s Cuba, and the red mess of Venezuela.
“The best defense is a good offense”. Still the best military and national security strategy in centuries.
Makes you wonder one, what do conservatives expect, and two, do they understand the struggle is just beginning? Did they think it was going to be easy? If they leave so easily, who’s there to attempt to beat it back down?
Come next election, the foaming-at-the-mouth Dems will be crawling over broken glass to vote for anyone but Trump.
And if Trumps exclusively keeps these global Dems as his advisers, I suspect many who voted for Trump will simply not bother next time. Not the die hards, but the ones who just didn’t want HRC.
Yes he is doing some good. But let’s face it, these personnel moves are significant and negative.
And Kelly and McMaster too, probably.
