WASHINGTON President Donald Trump on Friday officially stopped funding for sex-reassignment treatment for transgender people currently in the military and barred the Pentagon from accepting any more transgender people into the services.
The president signed a memo giving new guidance to his previously-tweeted ban on transgender individuals serving in the U.S. military, according to a senior White House official who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity.
Trump signed the memo, the details of which were first reported by The Wall Street Journal, on Friday and directed the departments of Defense and Homeland Security to stop funding of sex-reassignment procedures and deny entry of transgender individuals into the military.
But the Trump administration official was unable to answer questions about whether the estimated thousands of transgender service members currently serving would be allowed to remain in the military.
The administration's guidance gives Defense Secretary James Mattis some leeway when considering whether individual transgender service members would be allowed to continue to serve. The defense secretary would be able to military effectiveness, unit cohesion, budget restraints and other factors, the administration official said.
The Pentagon and Department of Defense have six months to develop an implementation plan.
Asked if at the end of the six month implementation period it was possible that transgender people already serving will continue, the official said the administration didn't have "anything to say beyond the policy enunciated in the memo."

Yes, this country is winning!
Obama changed the mutilation of cross-dressing homosexuals to almost before he left office. Obama didn’t do it while he was first in office.
Trump merely canceled the Obama order and returned to the policy that was in effect during Obama’s entire administration.

Good luck suing the military. Typically they won’t even respond to a judge.
He made the comment last week that the USCG would “Take care of their own”. Maybe he sees himself as part of homoland security and exempt from the ruling since it pertains to the armed services.
If they were allowed entry as openly transgender then they should be allowed to leave honorably rather than dishonorably. They followed the law no matter and rules no matter how stupid the law or rule was at the time.
Winning! My wallet is thankful.
But the Trump administration official was unable to answer questions about whether the estimated thousands of transgender service members currently serving would be allowed to remain in the military.
Its a left wing lie. The Coast Guard commander himself said they only had 13. Meanwhile, Trump’s tweet said they would not serve IN ANY CAPACITY. I hope he sticks to that policy and doesnt get bogged down in this person is deployable and can still be a cross dresser in uniform.
Trump needs to tell the Army JAG to comb the books to find out if there is anything still out there this traitor can be charged with. ANYTHING!
I wonder what the costs of building separate showers and bathrooms for trannies, if they’re not allowed in the opposite sex’s showers, bathrooms?
As is the border with Mexico, it is a matter of National Security.
And now we see some funds being freed up that needs to be re-deploied.
What President Trump can not do follows.
DOD issued Directive 5525.5, which outlines its policies and procedures for supporting federal, state, and local LEAs. DOD Directive 5525.5 prohibits the following forms of direct assistance: (1) interdiction of a vehicle, vessel, aircraft, or other similar activity; (2) a search or seizure; (3) an arrest, apprehension, stop and frisk, or similar activity; and (4) use of military personnel in the pursuit of individuals, or as undercover agents, informants, investigators, or interrogators. It is generally accepted that the PCA does not apply to the actions of the National Guard when not in federal service.22 As a matter of policy, however, National Guard regulations stipulate that its personnel are not, except for exigent circumstances or as otherwise authorized, to participate directly in the arrest or search of suspects or the general public.23
I don't see a thing in there about not building walls and fences to protect the intergriaty and security of the border.
But look at this...
As amended, Section 1004 authorizes the military to maintain, upgrade, and repair military equipment; transport federal, state, local, and foreign law enforcement personnel and equipment within or outside the United States; establish bases for operations or training; train law enforcement personnel in counter-drug activities; detect, monitor, and communicate movements of air, sea, and surface traffic outside the United States, and within 25 miles of the border if the detection occurred outside the United States; construct roads, fences, and lighting along the U.S. border; provide linguists and intelligence analysis services; conduct aerial and ground reconnaissance; and establish command, control, communication, and computer networks for improved integration of law enforcement, active military, and National Guard activities
All of it already established and authorized by none other that President Hussein.

Detect and monitor (cameras)
Establish bases.

High five!
Ok, so when do us taxpayers start getting REFUND CHECKS for this freakshow nonsense?
Christ on a crutch if that many.
HUSSEIN Baraka’s legacy?
Where the “reporters” be?
Forgot which talk radio host I heard this from (Rush, Dr. Savage, Phil Valentine, Chris Plante?) but I tracked down one source at ABC (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/numbers-transgender-individuals-serving-us-military/story?id=48869563) which states the number is actually in the low 100's. But that doesn't have the impact of 'thousands' or 'millions'.

The main reason they shouldn’t be allowed to re-up, or enlist in the first place is that these people have serious mental illness.
I understand that no one is going to suggest this, but the military can deny the opportunity to serve for many reasons, including mental illness and these folks have very serious mental issues.
I wonder if he got taken to the woodshed? He probably needs to retire.
Thousands? I doubt there are thousands in the entire world, let alone in our armed forces.
