Earlier this offseason, the San Francisco 49ers made Katie Sowers the second female full-time coach in NFL history. Kathryn Smith, who spent the 2016 season as a special teams quality control coach for the Buffalo Bills, was the first.
On Tuesday, Sowers herself made history, when she opened up to OutSports and become the first openly LGBT coach in the NFL, male or female.
"No matter what you do in life, one of the most important things is to be true to who you are," Sowers said. "There are so many people who identify as LGBT in the NFL, as in any business, that do not feel comfortable being public about their sexual orientation. The more we can create an environment that welcomes all types of people, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, the more we can help ease the pain and burden that many carry every day."

No one besides the diversity mafia cares who she is attracted to. Will she help them win? That’s all that 49ers fans care about.

With all LGBTQLMNOPLOL types, sex, as in the physical act, is the primary focus of their lives. The physical act of sex is what defines them and they are so insecure about it they have to flash it in everyone's faces and take umbrage when others disagree.
OK. it is not normal to be them but if they just lived their lives like most people, then if we saw them at a party or in public with their "significant other" most of us would just leave them alone and not insult them. They are the ones, knowing they are really sick, who have to justify it in their minds by flaunting it in our faces and being belligerent about it.

Maybe she's public about being a lesbian because if she isn't it would be harder for lesbians to get jobs like hers.
Or maybe she doesn't the trouble of people gossiping about her sexuality or making a big revelation about it.
I get the argument that sex is the biggest thing in the lives of gay people, but maybe it's not the one and only reason why they make themselves available for stories like this.
