Police Officer Matthew Baxter was shot and killed while responding to reports of three suspicious people in the area of Palmway Street and Cypress Street.

He and the patrol sergeant were speaking to the men when a fourth subject opened fire on them, killing Officer Baxter and gravely wounding his sergeant.

The subject who shot him was taken into custody the following morning.

Officer Baxter served with the Kissimmee Police Department for three years. He is survived by his wife [a Kissimmee Police Officer] and three children.

Will BLM be protesting?
