I like what he’s saying!! Good move.
Maybe he’ll show up at a WH press conference and ask some helpful questions.
Few people have his advantage of seeing it from inside and out. Time will tell.
If it turns out to be true that Trump actually fired him then I am done with Trump. When Bannon was added to his ream is when I decided to go with Trump and firing Bannon is the same as firing me. Hello Hillary 2020 and probably hello President Pence even sooner.
Te title is misleading, it cuts of an important part of what he actually said, which was :
“Im leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents”
If theres any confusion out there, let me clear it up: Im leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents — on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America, Bannon told Bloomberg on Friday.
Thank you!! Looking forward to hearing about your activities!
I like this set up better. I am liking Bannon more than even before.
Thanks. Needed to hear something positive.
Pretty sure kelly pushed him out.

Yes!!!

Steve Bannon - unleashed! I can dig it.
The way I see all this is:
1) Bannon and Trump are still totally cool with each other philosophically and Bannon’s departure does not reflect a “falling out”. The palace intrigue stuff about conflicting egos is mostly if not all BS.
2) The unprecedented obstructionism in the supposedly GOP controlled legislature is way beyond what either Trump or Bannon figured, and Trump is realizing there’s no quick fixes - he’s in it for the long haul - until he can get a better legislature the swamp ain’t getting drained any time soon. Trump is a pragmatist and knows he must adapt to a new reality - like it or not.
3) The WH has retooled to reflect that reality - shifting from an ideas driven “skunkworks” or “think tank” approach to more of a classic implementation oriented administration - and Bannon does not feel as useful or comfortable in that reality.
I think MAGA is still going to happen but let’s face it: the “so much winning you’ll be sick of winning” meme was always a best case scenario, and it’s just not panning out. The swamp is not going to let us win quite that much and certainly not that fast.
Remember the initial excitement of 1980 followed by a 3 year recession that dogged most of Reagan’s first term? That was no fun, and this isn’t going to be all fun and games either.
I appreciate Trump selling the “winning” meme during and after the campaign - it helped build enthusiasm to defeat the hildabeast, and it helps offset the poison of the anti-Trump MSM.
But in our hearts, we knew that draining the swamp wasn’t going to be easy.
Now that we know it’s going to be a long, rough ride, we should be even more grateful to Donald Trump and his family for the sacrifice they are making. I’m amazed he was willing to give up the golden years of his perfect dream life to try to MAGA, and now that I see how horribly he’s being treated and how backstabbing the GOP is willing to be, I’m even more amazed and grateful.
I hope he doesn’t lose heart. I hope people don’t start giving up on him when the going gets rough. I’m sorry he has to hear so many ugly accusations of racism, bigotry and worse. I’m sorry he has to hear his own half hearted “supporters” accuse him of capitulation to, or manipulation by, his daughter or whomever.
I remember the same concerns with Reagan. “Let Reagan be Reagan”. I doubt Reagan was ever that weak that he was in danger of being manipulated by his team - it’s just that the job of draining the swamp is nearly impossible - akin to Hercules cleaning the Aegean stables - the stuff of myths and legends.
Go Trump!
