The New York state court system's longtime communications chief was fired Thursday after inadvertently telling a reporter that he "barely" went to work at his $166,000-a-year job.
David Bookstaver's firing came a day after the New York Post reported he unwittingly dialed a reporter's voicemail, which captured him conversing with someone else — and acknowledging that he was sloughing off at the office.
"I'm not doing anything. I barely show up to work," Bookstaver said in a part of the recording the newspaper posted online.

Kelly is reported to have said he doesn’t know what gorka does except go on TV sometimes
“He talked about the possibility he could get fired “because of a story in The Post.”
He added it “would probably affect my pension check by $6 a month.”

Apparently, that was the same issue he had with Bannon, except for the tv part. No one knew what he did.
I give him credit for telling the truth. Most of these A-holes do nothing and get paid very well.
And that’s the saga of the last honest government employee in New York
Seems the position doesn’t need to be filled. Probably a lot more waste of tax dollar positions should be eliminated as well.
I want that job. I’m tired of not getting my place at the trough.
