OAKLAND, Calif. — Last weekend, when a 27-year-old bike messenger showed up at the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va., he came ready for battle. He joined a human chain that stretched in front of Emancipation Park and linked his arms with others, blocking waves of white supremacists — some of them in full Nazi regalia — from entering.
“As soon as they got close,” said the young man, who declined to give his real name and goes by Frank Sabaté after the famous Spanish anarchist, “they started swinging clubs, fists, shields. I’m not embarrassed to say that we were not shy in defending ourselves.”
Sabaté is an adherent of a controversial force on the left known as antifa. The term, a contraction of the word “anti-fascist,” describes the loose affiliation of radical activists who have surfaced in recent months at events around the country and have openly scuffled with white supremacists, right-wing extremists and, in some cases, ordinary supporters of President Trump. Energized in part by Mr. Trump’s election, they have sparred with their conservative opponents at political rallies and college campus speaking engagements, arguing that one crucial way to combat the far right is to confront its supporters on the streets.
Unlike most of the counterdemonstrators in Charlottesville and elsewhere, members of antifa have shown no qualms about using their fists, sticks or canisters of pepper spray to meet an array of right-wing antagonists whom they call a fascist threat to American democracy. Your logic has an invalid premise.
You assumed there was Rule of Law in Charlottesville.
There is not.
The far right is the middle class. Antifa does not object per say of white supremacists and terrorists. Their objective is Marx dictatorship of the Bourgeois, a projection.
It's not enforced against them. Only against WASPs.
Most of these kids get their voice thanks to my taxes paying for their “education” that generate these movements.
They violate our freedom of speech by taxing our speech to prop their opinion making. It has been going on with Planned Aparenthood and other gov funded liberal non profit outfits. Antifa is simply their military arm just like the KkK is the military arm of the democrat party still to this day.
Why they do not get arrested? Ask yourself why do they get the blessing and liguistic legal funding from authorities in the first place!
The Antifa brats have no reason to complain. They’re not being drafted, they’re not forced to get a job, they’re treated like children until the age of 25 — benefiting from the family’s health insurance... — they’re spoiled, ungrateful, and behave like ignorant animals.
The Antifa brats are definitely a destructive problem, but it’s the head of the snake that should have our undivided attention. And we should find a way to support those that have the means to identify and correct the problem — legally of course.
They have the support of all of the Democrat Party and more than half of the Republican Party. With influence like that behind you you can pretty much write your own laws on the fly.
The New York Slimes can go up in flames for all I care.
So is Trump going to permit a nationwide attack on our confederate monuments? Can he send in National Guard or what?

I like the way the author seemlessly associates conservatives with nazis and white supremacists.
But to the media, Antifa is the new "White Rose."
Antifa needs to be prosecuted every bit as much as the Nazis and the KKK.
unfortunately, some of those have gone antifa, which is why we’ve seen a progression from t-rex punches to what we’re seeing now.
What they are calling “far right” is not right wing at all. The Nazi’s are the national socialist party. Socialists of any stripe are left wingers, left of center. So the lefties are gearing up to fight the lefters.
Obama would’ve sent the National Guard and federal troops to help tear down the statues.
AND.... the “Far Right” to them is anyone that starts at left of center toward the right.. :p
