It was well known that all tribes had teens and young adults that would go out in “war parties” that would steal stuff from other tribes, including people to use as slaves.
So the europeans came here to end slavery.
Further on in that Wikipedia article it says Seattle did own slaves, captives taken in raids.
Some Northwest Indian tribes even killed slaves to use as rollers for the canoes of their guests, as they arrived at a potlatch.
Every human alive must be the descendant of successful murderers, rapists, slavers and conquerors. The amazing thing is that we can be better than that at all.
Just for the tally book, how did “this slavery” compare to human bondage in the slave states of New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Delaware, and Maryland?

Why is it different? The truth is when past societies needed workers and there were no willing workers they generally enslaved whoever was handy at the time if they had the power to do so. We are likely all descended from people who were enslaved at one time or another by one group or another.
If they were not captured how did they become slaves? Slaves of every race have indeed been captured, bought, sold, worked, abused by others who were not just white people. Native Americans did have value on slaves, they were commonly sold- traded for things of value since their currency was trade goods.
I’d love to see Trump latch onto this! The amount of sputtering from the Left would be stupendous. There must be hundreds if not thousands of places named after former Native American slave owners / traders.

You are correct, and the way he did them in is totally inhumane. He lit them on fore so as to inhale their burning flesh. He said it make him feel Rasta to its fullest, yeah mon. But thankfully he spared the doobie brothers. I hear it was because they were supplying him with their doobie offspring. 8>)
