This is exacerbated by the fact that wildly leftist Catalonia is encouraging the Muslims as a way of “getting back” at the rest of Spain in their idiotic separatist campaign. One thing Catalonia needs to remember is that they don’t have a military but, like the rest of Spain, are protected by the Spanish military. Leave Spain - and then what?
Oh well, I guess they are preparing their burkas even now. They have one of the largest new mosques in Europe, but attack the Church constantly.
Perhaps the only solution for Spain and the rest of the EU is to break into city states to protect themselves, much as what happened after the Roman Empire collapsed and over time local governing entities protected their territory. That way, at least some parts of Europe might survive and preserve the accomplishments of Western Civilization.
