Davidson is correct. Those of us old enough to remember the Cultural Revolution are swimming in deja vu. The logical conclusion of all of this was Pol Pot's Cambodia and Hitler's crematoria. There are people such as Bill Ayers who are looking forward to it.

One reason that the Left is so interested in the control of history is that it is perfectly aware of the murderous failures of the past and intends to repeat them, "better" this time, and does not want people to see them as a warning. You can't actually wipe out the past, but you can wipe out the bourgeoisie who remember it and keep the next generations from ever learning that past or, through poverty and terror, becoming that bourgeoisie. That is the only way to ensure a slave population.
