It didn’t take Charlottesville to confirm that President Donald J. Trump is a hollow man. But it did take Charlottesville to provide a tipping point for the Republican Party to find its distance from this egomaniac who hijacked the GOP to get to the White House.

We Christians had no need to comment on the events last Saturday in Charlottesville as we had no connection with them. I was working Saturday, mowing the lawns and spending family time on Sunday. That's what we do. We have no connection with Nazis. Our fathers and uncles fought and killed Nazis. Trump had no connection with Saturday's events. Now the previous president had connections with ministers. There was the racist Jeremiah Wright and the anti-Semitic Al Sharpton to name a few. Did the author have similar criticisms for Obama and the Democrats?
