Race Preview After weeks of ads, mostly on behalf of incumbent Senator Luther Strange, the votes start rolling in tonight after 8pm EDT. Strange faces strong competition from former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, who has led him in the polling average by about 5-6 points, and from Huntsville Congressman Mo Brooks, who has trailed Strange in the average by a little over the same margin. If polling is correct, Strange and Moore will advance to the September 26th runoff. We anticipate the first results will roll in within thirty minutes of polls closing. Well have comparison charts and a county-by-county display above as those numbers roll in.
Hard to dress up the word pimp? JK....
If Mo Brooks would have stayed out, Moore would have handily beaten Strange.
Doug Jones.
Conservatives(Moore & Brooks votes together) are cleaning The Strange
One’s clock tonight.
http://www2.alabamavotes.gov/electionnight/statewideResultsByContest.aspx?ecode=1000750
and at https://decisiondeskhq.com/results/us-senate-alabama-special-republican-primary/
At the State Site with 109,423 in Moore 41.64%, Strange 30.22%, Brooks 19.98%.
At Decision Desk HQ 122K votes in and the percentages haven't changed at all as the vote tallys have increased.
Roy S Moore (Republican) 39.4% 48,938
Luther Strange (Republican) 32.1% 39,870
Mo Brooks (Republican) 19.2% 23,816
Then he will beat him in the runoff ...
I have no clue.
Doug has never been elected to anything, so far as I can tell. He was the appointed United States Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama during the Clinton administration, so he has the whiff of corruption about him.
As it should be. I love to see libtards eating crow in the morning!
...or any other time of the day! LOL!
They are trying to shake things out on Moore’s taxes for the past few years.
I’m from the area and I’m pretty confident most Brooks people will vote Moore in the general.
10% is still a pretty strong beating. It shows Strange has no chance in the runoff. I hope Mitch doesn’t waste more money on Strange...

.@FEC filings show @lutherstrange & his allies spent ~$5.7M in #ALSEN #GOP primary. @MooreSenate & his allies spent ~$420K #alpolitics #MAGA
“
That gives me good cheer.
Doug Jones just got finished defending a corrupt Alabama state senator and a lot of people hold him responsible for the corruption in Tuscaloosa.
My heartburn with Brooks came after the ball practice shooting. With legislation trying to get advanced in the house for national reciprocity, he wimped out to push a new critters only special version to protect his arsche and his constituents be damned.
I hope you’re wrong.
I don’t think rats can vote in runoff
Hopefully, he’s an ultra lefty who supports tearing down the Ten Commandments monument.
Moore is up 12-13% at the State site & only 7% at DDHQ. That seems like what the networks were doing with Clinton just refusing to show the results until there was no chance they would change.
