I keep hearing contradictory stories
Was he with the Antifa morons or not?
I think he was, but he was one of those hired to pretend to be white racist Trump supporters
Islam is a mental illness, just like current US Liberalism.
The moment I saw him posing with his mother, I came to that same conclusion, that he was autistic at the very least.
That alone doesn’t indicate violence, but I could see that he appeared compromised in some overall way.
Only the mother knows why he wasn’t living in a locked facility or some other supervised environment.
I’ve heard some say it is usually very difficult to get your child into the mental health system.
How bad must it be, if she, a woman confined to a wheelchair continues to live with a disturbed individual who has beaten her and threatened her with foot long knives?
They really don’t want this to go to trial.
From the article...
“The driver charged with killing a woman at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville was previously accused of beating his mother and threatening her with a knife, according to police records released Monday.
Samantha Bloom, who is disabled and uses a wheelchair, repeatedly called police about her son, James Alex Fields Jr., in 2010 and 2011, telling officers he was on medication to control his temper, transcripts from 911 calls show.
In another incident in 2010, she said her son smacked her in the head and locked her in the bathroom after she told him to stop playing video games. There was no indication in the records that he was arrested.”

“Was”? The Charleston SC church gunman is nuts too. I expect the Dallas gunman that killed five policemen was off his rocker too. I could list a lot more. Besides the number of meds being prescribed which may or may not work or actually be taken on an outpatient bases we let these people have free run. Used to put them in nut house which was hell due to lack of funding so we stopped that. Unintended consequences happen.
That explains how he loves Obama one minute and Trump the next.
Schizophrenia is no joke.
We’ve had to call the police several times on some of the homeless folks who hang out around our church. When they’re experiencing a full blown episode, they’re completely separated from the real world.
It’s sad and frightening at the same time.
I saw a picture of the driver and he didn’t look like the owner that was arrested.
What if he says that he doesn’t remember driving. Now they can pull out the two personality argument. I don’t know, just theorizing.
Schizophrenia is not an excuse for terrorism.
Did you see his car!? That’s too much damage for what happened. Is it possible he was about to be pulled out and beaten? Funny how there isn’t a lot of audio of the incident. If he was a nazi, send him back to hell. If he feared for his life, well my son is his age. What would you tell your son to do?
Mental illness is no excuse to hold them unaccountable. I find it amazing how anyone who suddenly gets to go to a mental institution for a week taking meds all of a sudden become untouchable and uncriticizable and their behavior as a result grows worse. They even go back and use the institution to sustain their drug addictions.
Are they talking about the man in the photo reversing the car at high speed while looking through the rear view mirror or the kid who pinched for the crime?
I'm not likely to serve on the jury, so I can say that so far I've seen ample evidence to believe that Fields is guilty of homicide (a crime), has Nazi sympathies (not a crime), is stupid (not a crime) schozophrenic (not a crime), and was deemed unfit to serve in the United States Army (not a crime).
I’m deeply torn on this matter. He’s at the age where really dangerous symptoms of pschizophrenia start popping but that doesn’t excuse his actions. On the other hand I have the feeling that he needs to spend his life in a mental institution rather than a jail. There are very few good options for handling basic mental illness in this country never mind the criminally insane.
Yeas it is a good article. Maybe not conclusively schizophrenic but definitely psychotic. And meds don’t necessarily help.
