Because Kalifornia voters aren’t stupid enough?

You shouldn’t be allowed to vote until you are no longer supported by your parents. Typical age for that is now 26.

Raise it to 25 year old property owners.

They should not be able to vote until they start earning a living and paying taxes.

Ensure they vote before they’ve had time to heal from 12 years of Liberal indoctrination.

The voting age should be changed to 30; or maybe 25, IF they are working and paying taxes.

Liberals want to treat 18 year olds as adults, except when it comes to paying back loans (too stupid and easily misled into signing for loans) or health care (they are far too fragile, and prone to making bad health care choices as young adults, so they must be carried by their parents)

Reprehensible.

Of course, given their reasons as stated above...this makes sense.

Let’s make a deal: 17 year olds can vote if voter id (drivers license, non-driver ID or US passport) is required to do so.

With all the recordings of all the demonstrated stupidity of sophomores in college, and the new desires of academia, in their strides for die-ver-s(p)itty, it is beyond common sense to suggest such a thing.

Not, ‘Naw’, but (word) NAW!’

Besides, this would achieve a voting age YOUNGER than the minimum age for military service.

Limit the vote to property owners (21+) and veterans only.

17 year olds have neither the maturity nor experience to have yet escaped the political indoctrination they have obtained in school.

Because they are studying it in school, they should be allowed to vote? Wow.

>> Teachers could encourage voter registration, schools could be polling locations on election day, and voting will become as much of a senior class tradition as homecoming and pep rallies.

Well then, why not just lower it to 7? Don’t those grade school kids have rights? I’m sure that would give you an even bigger pool of democrat voters. Why pretend that the Republicans should even have a sliver of a chance? What a farce!

Why stop at 17? Why not just throw open the bar. In fact, why don’t we give pregnant women TWO votes?

If they can’t resposibly drink at 18 why the h*** are they allowed to responsibly vote or join the military (or are uni-party members just protecting their own college age kids)?

Their disregard is not the result of indifference or immaturity, but of an overwhelming amount of new responsibilities.

Yeah - Voting once every 2 years or 4 years is such a burden. Can they look up from their phones long enough to handle this ????

Opinion: Why voting age should be lowered to 17

This idea is as foolish as raising the minimum wage to $15.00.

The minimum IQ for voting should definitely be raised to the Celsius temperature of the Arctic Ocean in order to exclude Naava Ellenberg.
