BACK TO SCHOOL
By Naval Support Activity Chapel Staff
A child came home from his first day of school. His mother asked, What did you learn today? He said, Not enough. I have to go back tomorrow.
Going back to school is always difficult for both teachers and students. It also means more traffic with school buses back on the road; probably the only ones delighted about schools reopening are the parents.
Going back to school can be a milestone. Kindergarten, sixth grade, high school and college are all significant marks of progress and change (especially when the kid finally gets a job!). For parents, these can be good times to reflect -- and perhaps to set new goals. It is good to reflect on memories of your kids growing up, and how proud you are of who they are becoming. It is also important to understand what they will need next as they grow and develop. An important goal is not only to ensure that they learn reading, writing and arithmetic, but also that they learn about God as well. The Bible tells us to train and teach our children in the ways of God (Proverbs 22:6 and Ephesians 6:4). One great way to do this is to take them to church.

LOL! I get the frizzy blues in this weather too.
Just got back in from the fire. Sooooo nice out there right now - - cool-ish, thousands of crickets and katydids singing up a storm, little traffic on the highway to make noise. Just still cloudy so no meteor watching tonight. :-(

Sounds lovely except for the no-meteor-watching. Not going to get to here either. It’s always nice when you get to enjoy some cooler weather! Hope it sticks around longer than just a day or two!
I could have last night. Couldn’t get to sleep and the last time I looked at the clock it was 4am. GRRR. Instead of fuming I should have gone outside...with lots of insect repellent on....and looked for them.Of course, the cats would have wanted in. There’s always something. LOL!
Anyhoooo...I’m kind of sleep tonight.

It IS lovely out there tonight, except for those dratted clouds. The cool is only for the night though. It’ll be hot and steamy again tomorrow.
Too bad the kittehs kept you from slipping outside for a few minutes to check out the meteors. But then I haven’t heard anything about how good a show it was and don’t know how many bright ones zipped across the sky. They’d have to be bright to be seen in town.

Sunday morning coffee bump.
We had our trip cut short yesterday due to storms in the area. Going to do a full trip today.
