Guam, an unincorporated United States territory in the western Pacific Ocean, has a population of 1.6 lakh people
Guam posted emergency guidelines on Friday to help residents prepare for any potential nuclear attack after a threat from North Korea to fire missiles in the vicinity of the U.S. Pacific territory.
Pyongyang's state-run KCNA news agency said on Thursday its army would complete plans in mid-August to fire four intermediate-range missiles over Japan to land near Guam as North Korea and the United States engaged in increasingly heated rhetoric this week over the North's nuclear weapons program.
North Korea did not threaten Guam with a nuclear attack, but the crisis between Pyongyang and the United States has stirred fears that a nuclear conflict could break out in the region.
While the governor of Guam shrugged off the North's missile warning and said there was no heightened threat, the government has issued a preparedness fact sheet.

Any ICBMs flying over Japan should be intercepted and inspected for fissile materials. If found, the case should be made before the UN to solidly prove North Korea’s malicious intent for nuclear war.
Think about this. If NK fires four rockets towards Guam there is no way we would know if they will hit Guam or are armed. We must shoot them down at least. Otherwise this would be war and we should eliminate NK. To hell with China and their threats.
The houses here on Guam are built like bomb shelters.
Tell us more...
Guam is subject to Earthquakes (big ones), tsunamis and major typhoons so the building code for houses is 8-inch reinforced cinder block walls and an 8 inch reinforced poured roof. The foundation for the walls for our single story home is four or five feet deep. If your house isn’t built like this you can’t get home owner’s insurance. Most houses also have metal typhoon shutters that are rated to from 180mph to 220mph winds.
Honestly, this is how houses should be built in Florida and the gulf coast as well.
Typhoons happen .....
Can you add a bullseye to Barbra Streisand’s house in Malibu? And a bullseye for Robert Scheer’s house too, wherever it may be (he’s a big fan of NK).
Congratulations, Grandma.

As long as they target San Francisco we can keep on FReepin’ on.
“Hey Kim, do you know the GPS coordinates for Nancy Pelosi’s house?”
I was thinking the same thing as I read your comment. In Florida we have thin walls and lots of sliding glass doors...
