Google Cancels Meeting on Diversity, Citing Safety Concerns for Employees
CEO had scheduled meeting after the firing of a Google engineer, which had set off a nationwide debate

Google canceled a companywide meeting about diversity just before it was set to begin Thursday, saying right-wing websites published the names of employees who had proposed questions, raising security concerns.
Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai said in an email to employees that the company decided to cancel the highly anticipated meeting after employees expressed concerns about their safety and worried they may be outed publicly for asking a question in the Town Hall.
Mr. Pichai had scheduled the meeting in the wake of his firing this week of software engineer James Damore, who wrote and distributed a memo that argued biological differences between men and women explain the gender gap among tech workers. Mr. Pichai said the company would find other ways to gather and engage employees on the subject in the coming days.
Googles firing of Mr. Damore has sparked a nationwide debate, and fueled discussion inside the company over its diversity program and its openness to conservative viewpoints.

“...saying right-wing websites published the names of employees who had proposed questions, raising security concerns.”
“...employees expressed concerns about their safety and worried they may be outed publicly for asking a question in the Town Hall.”
Now who’s going to directly affect their safety - some conservative blogger or some anti-fa colleague at Google?
He “decided to cancel...”, because he realized that his silliness is the minority opinion in the land of engineers and geniuses. Google is on the defensive. About time. “Protonmail” email is excellent.
Crybully turds. Unfit to live in a free society.
Damore trumps hate!
Exactly, only questions about the wisdom of diversity would endanger the questioner. It would have just turned into an Anti-Trump bashfest anyway.
“Here at Google we’re interested in your opinion. Now let us tell you what it is.”
If the people asking the questions were already known that it wasn’t a true townhall open forum for the employees.
Complete Chicken$hit Operation.
lol
Google said it pays women equal to men. It is just that women prefer different kinds of work.
Google said instead of coding, women do important jobs like cleaning toilets, washing cafeteria dishes, or watching tv soap operas.
Google said their women know their place in life’s pecking order said the All Knowing All Seeing Google Eye.

Google is loaded with snowflakes.
...not one of which believes it is responsible for the avalanche.
Google is full of it...surprise! Chick-fil-A, their idea of non-diversity, is 1000 times more inclusive.

Just to be clear, I am not agreeing with Damore 100%, e. g. “climate science.” However, I can understand why he wanted to escape the Goo-lag brainwashing.
LOL - another good one..
They did this to themselves, by hiring theses propaganda agents and lefties who told their employees they deserve to be paid on the account of their employee status rather than their actual performance and/or job title.
The best part is Google was demanding all its employees illegally discriminate to get more of that same ‘diversity’ which they are apparently forbidden to define or even acknowledge exist. Much less ‘engineer’ a solution to the problem Google asked them to solve.
It is too bad I really would like to hear Google’s ‘diversity executives’ explain how women can add more ‘diversity’ to Google if apparently it is blasphemy to even suggest they are different from men in anyway.
Exactly what ‘diversity’ would theses ‘ladies’ add to Google? For that matter how does ‘google’intend to define them as ‘ladies’ given they now claim there are what 63 genders?
Will the Google exclusives resign their job for making such a distinction in the first place?
It may be that they really canceled the meeting because they just realized by their own newly established ‘rule of conduct’ prohibited acknowledging the existence of the ‘diversity’ topic they were to ‘discuss’.
