"This is Ground Zero": Ferguson Remembers Mike Brown on 3rd Anniversary of His Killing
The Root ^ | August 9, 2017 | by Breanna Edwards

On Tuesday night, more than two dozen people gathered near the spot where Michael Brown Jr. was gunned down three years ago on Aug. 9, 2014, to mourn and remember the 18-year-old whose life was taken from him and to reconstruct a makeshift memorial in the spot where he died.

“We can never forget this,” activist Meldon Moffitt told a group residents and other community activists as they stood on the site. “This is ground zero.”

Mike’s death sparked months of protests and served as the catalyst to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that those who came out laid down teddy bears, lit candles and other tokens in the street where Mike was shot and killed by then-officer Darren Wilson, constructing a memorial to replace past makeshift memorials, not far from a bronze plaque was installed to mark the site in 2015.

“I’m really delighted to see people come out here, it shows they haven’t forgotten,” Moffitt added, according to the Post-Dispatch. “As long as we support each other, all these lives — Mike Brown, Isaiah Hammett, Kajieme Powell, all of them — will be remembered.”

Michael Brown was a violent bully who used force in a robbery, strong armed robbery, only minutes before he confronted and then attacked an on duty Law enforcement officer.

Michael Brown died by and because of his own actions.

The Officer was totally correct in his actions as found by several different and independent investigations. This includes the investigators that Obama sent down there specifically to find fault with the Officers actions. Even these racial headhunters could not make a finding of fault of guilt on the part of the of the officer.

The people who think Brown is some kind of hero or was killed unjustly are stupid, dense, morons who refuse to see, understand, or recognize the truth of what happened that night. Everything the officer claimed is supported by every single bit of evidence that exists in this case as analyzed by three different labs.

All of the evidence supported the statements of the officer and none of the media lies were ever supported in any way by any of the un-involved neutral witnesses or any of the physical evidence.

Some people and some news organizations just have to tell big fat lies to support their ignorant and purely fabricated fantasies in hopes of getting some face time on TV and making MONEY from the story.

Truth, provable facts, and reality have value to some of us but not for the bunch who represent Brown as innocent.

“Only a truly foolish and marginally evil community would lionize a simple and brutal street thug.”

Actually it’s almost refreshing that only a couple dozen activists (thugs) showed up. Probably more gather on a hot night at a 7-Eleven.

You spelled “organizer” wrong, the “z” should be “gg”.

Hands Up, Don’t Shoot.........Did Not Happen

A suspect, after already assaulting a police officer and attempting to get his gun, charges back at the officer leaving the officer no choice but to shoot the suspect.

That’s what really happened.

Trayvon Martin was on top of George Zimmerman beating his head into the sidewalk, leaving him no choice.

If thugs weren’t attacking people, they would not get shot.

Why? Because they are willing to defend themselves against the criminals, against rioters and looters?

It isn’t “wanting”, it’s “willing”.

The criminals should fear their intended victims.

A guy who dies in the commission of a crime gets all the process they were due.

no person ever corroborated this fantasy, the forensic evidence from thee different corners confirmed that Brown never had his hands up and was never kneeling on the ground. The hands up don't shoot story was a lie then, and it is a lie now.

When punks get caught red handed, on video, pulling off a strong armed robbery, you know the masses of that culture will never, ever, place any blame or responsibility on that thug. So they have to make up lies like this and enlist the help of a very willing media to spread their lies, and will never ever admit the truth even when the forensic evidence, from Obama's FBI, proves otherwise.

Michael Browns family got filthy rich pushing these lies. The punk son they raised died by his own actions and they got millions of dollars for raising a thug kid.

That was the motive for all of the lies, MONEY!!!!

The media made money running these lies.

The family made a lot of money pushing these lies.

Obama instantly jumped on this fantasy bandwagon and got a lot of racist political mileage by not correcting the lies and riding this intentional money based fantasy into the headlines.

Can you tell me what happened to the shop keeper who was robbed?

He was one of the victims in all of this.

Can you tell me what happened to the cop that Brown violently attacked and tried to shoot/kill with his own gun?

I believe he ended up leaving his profession because of the false accusations and lies claimed by the family, supported by Obama's silence, and pushed by the dishonest media.

That officer was the other victim in the situation.

Michael Brown was not a victim, he was a thug, a thief, and a punk who ended up dead because Michael Brown, himself, insisted on it. Brown caused his own death with his violent life threatening, charging attack on the law enforcement officer.

Michael Brown left the officer no choice.

Michael Brown died of felony stupidity.

Here it comes again:

Hadn’t heard about this case here until now and the article is kind of thin, so I have no opinion on it....but the usual crowd is threatening to riot “Ferguson times 10” if the officer is acquitted:

Activists, clergy warn of ‘mass disruption’ if ex-St. Louis cop is acquitted of murder
